When I was 26, I was ghosted by my best friend of 18 years and now I realize, I was a bad friend cause I encouraged her to seek happiness in material things instead of God. Like she looked up to me because I was older than her and I taught her that her purpose was to date attractive guys and play video games and go swimming or dancing or to listen to secular music. We both matured. She became a pharmacist and I choose a career in authoring books and neither one of us is superficial now but the foundation of our friendship was bad because it was based on human greed.
People change over the years, you clearly have given you're able to look back on it in a different light. I don't feel like you should necessary leave old friends behind, assuming you feel things have changed and there's a mutual desire to talk about things and reconnect. However, if only one party wants to reengage, then I guess it's just not meant to be.. At the present time at least.

That’s funny. I was just thinking about some stupid things I did when I was 18 today too. 🤣
How is the authoring? Do you already have something published?
