Kids love me. I must have something about me that seems friendly enough, where they will come up to me. Tiny ones will hug, but sometimes I think that’s because they just learned to walk and I’m a leg to grab onto when they’re about to fall.
It’s not really strangers kids very often, luckily - it’s usually kids I’ve babysat or friend’s kids. But little kids often stare at me, for some reason. or they’ll come and talk to me. Maybe I like an Uncle or their dad or something.
I have to play it very cool and I don’t encourage it, because people will assume any dude can and will be a pervert. I’m more outgoing if the parent is clearly watching and they’re ok with me answering a kids questions or having a short conversation. I generally don’t encourage any hugs or anything like that, especially in a professional context (babysitting, for example), even if I know the kid, I don’t hug back unless it’s family (or they’re like family). And I’m really obvious about not being alone with a kid. I’ve had background checks, but not everyone knows that, so I’m very aloof with kids.
That being said, I love kids, I’m great with them… but I am protecting myself more than anything, so I have to be overly cautious, and a little more gruff in dealing with a kid.

No. I have once walked passed 2 girls that invited me to go down the ice slide, and I just said no thank you snd walked away.
Based on what I have seen, kids do not talk, play or hug strangers.

Sure, all the time, especially if my kids are around too.
They do it because they have a child's understanding of the world. They believe they can trust anyone and generally those are the extroverts later in life. Generally I just play along until their parent comes by and then I'll talk with them if they stick around.
Yes, I think it’s super cute. They probably think I look friendly, trusting, and familiar.

I never had that issues babies are terrified of me they start to cry if i am in 20 ft distance 🤣
A few times that's happened. It's just a phase really little kids go through. Anyways, it just makes the day a bit brighter.
My neighbor's young daughter, I assume because animals and small children trust me for some reason and think I am fun too be around.
This happens to me all the time. I don't really know why I assume I look friendly.
It's happened randomly from time to time.
