My girlfriend and I attended church together (9:30 am) and then the church brunch (11:00 am) after the service. Then we went to the hospital to have lunch with my mom (who is 91 and had a fall last Wednesday) and my step-father (who is 92 and has congestive heart failure.) After that, we were both feeling tired and returned home. I did have a 6:00 pm meeting scheduled at one of the local universities but I cancelled that meeting so that I can stay home with her.

After I take the kids to church I'll go home cook an Easter meal and do Easter things with the kids ie hunt eggs paint eggs etc. Then I plan on visiting my SO in the hospital and bring him some chocolate and the Easter meal I cooked... He'll love a home cooked meal!

He surprised me a very sweet card and chocolate bunnies. He also went to Easter church service. I had friends over so didn't go with him.
I got us a plant and flowers.
We spending time together now that my friends left.

Yes. I made him his favourite dinner from back home. As he celebrates and I do not, I did that to remind him of his Easter with family.

It is a small thing to do but anything that reminds him of family and those memories.

well i went to church this morning, and i am getting ready to have dinner with later, with some family, we are cooking the meal as we speak :)
and it is a holy holiday but it is a holiday we should spend with loved ones and ones that are dear to us. yes it is about Jesus, but it is also about being together.

I’m in the Uk and aware we do it different to the Americans. Here you get a large chocolate egg and a trip to the sea side, no church in sight. We did both these things.
