How do I handle my mom when I move?

Im planning on moving to kansas tomorrow and i currently live in California but my family doesn't know about it but i know all hell is gonna break lose when they find out especially my mom cuz she's emotionally abusive an not all mentally there so what can i do if she tries contacting police or something? Im not in any danger i just wanna get out of this environment im living in i can't take it anymore i need to get away from here
