She lectures me about my piercings at least once a month lmaooo. She always acts as if she’s never seen them before, I’ve had most of my piercings for years now girly get over it 😭I literally only have two nose rings and some ear piercings and she be acting like I pierced my whole body from head to toe, relax 💀
23 and not really, just generally bitching at me as a way to vent because they’re pissed off at the other parent. They’re finally at the point where they’ll say “I’m sorry for taking it out on you, it’s just that your (insert other parent’s title here) is driving me insane”. I’m the baby of the family and the favorite child even though they won’t explicitly say it, so it’s really too bad that it’s so many years later and that they didn’t have the courtesy to apologize to my brother or sister in the past. Better late than never though.

Once you become a mom/parent your whole world will change and one day it will hit you, oh my God that's what my mom used to do or say.

21 going on 22 and whenever I come home from college, I’m always getting lectured at by literally doing anything: forgetting something, going somewhere far, just not being responsible even I am, being lazy sometimes, dressing a bit showy, practically anything they can pick on.
Almost your age 24 also and yeah by my dad mostly because i am his only daughter and he worries way too much about me. I know he cares and loves me but literally sometimes it's all too much especially cause i live with my parents still.

u My mom does, and sometimes it's hilarious. She's just trying to be supportive and helpful but OMG can she come up with some doozies.
No matter how old you get, a parent is always going to be parent. My mom still lectures me about certain things too, even though your adult, there still stuff to learn even from your parents that you don't want to hear lol
s 21 and sometimes. I don’t get lectured about my piercings, tattoos or my smoking habit. Usually if I get lectured it’s about money management or my car - things that are actually worth lecturing me for.
I'm 24 and I think your parents will always lecture you in a way. They will always feelike they live more life than you and have more wisdom. This is just a natural thing I think between parents and their sons and daughters
At your age I had already left home and bought and set up home with my then boyfriend, who's now my husband.

Both of my parents are dead. When they were alive, they never lectured me. Rather, that taught me... right from wrong, how to be a human being. I think they did a pretty good job.
Both I and my 2 North American cousins are constantly verbally controlled by our parents, one is not controlled and she is divorced.
Your parents are still your parents even when you are a grown adult they will still worry, I was still being lectured by my father when he was in his 70's, its their default setting cut them some slack.
