We all need friends but I realized through life that not all your friends are true friends , acquaintances yes , the only true friend I want is my partner in crime , A girl that makes me her priority like I make her , because when push comes to shove having that special someone until the day you die is all that matters , friends come and go , when you choose friends over
Your partner then you are best not to be in a relationship with that person period , your partner should be your best friend , if they aren’t then you are wasting your time pretending that you are happily in a relationship or marriage with them There is a difference between good friends and toxic friends that most people have trouble understanding, a true friend is going to support your relationship with your partner and be a listening ear, and help you keep your relationship strong, a toxic friend is going
To try to pull you away from your partner
And make you feel like You are stupid to be with them , Toxic friends don’t really give a shit about you, they treat you good but get off on seeing you do stupid shit They will keep you along for the ride until they finally meet someone and then leave you in the dust , You are Best to remove any toxic friend that is trying to sabotage your relationship , they will make you think that you are being controlled by your partner when really you are being respected by your partner , Most people don’t grasp this concept and wonder why they end up single , Selfishness is the biggest relationship killer , choosing a toxic friend over Your partner is selfish

Every one else in a while I have a hankering to consume an edible with someone and giggle at the same cartoons with them, but in general I prefer the quiet and the internet's ability to allow me to select precisely when and how I interact with friends.

Many people who enjoy “not having friends” may be extremely introverted or have had too many instances of toxicity and backstabbing which can be draining. I was tired of people, in general, when I was younger.

I was bullied in middle school, a lot of people thought I was a “weirdo” who was “too sensitive” and I didn’t have any “real” friends that I could count on, but that completely changed when I entered high school. I made amazing friends, people I could trust blindly and count on when I’m feeling down.

I can’t relate to it now, because I do have fantabulous friends… but the younger me would have definitely related to it. This goes on to show how people’s opinions and mindset is just temporary and that nothing is fixed or constant.

Even friends can be temporary. Someone who is your friend today, may not be your friend day after tomorrow or 10 years from now and that’s okay.. because people come and go in our lives, but they do change and shape us into who we are and we always learn something from everybody and everything that happens in our lives.

I don’t think most people are “fakes”. Some people are toxic, but you should not associate yourself with them. There is this old adage that goes: “Choose your friends wisely” because if you choose to be in contact with toxic people, their toxicity and negativity could just corrupt your system. Some friendships don’t work out, because they may not be the right fit for each other.

Wow I didn’t know this was a ‘thing.’

Since it is a question, I don’t expect backlash. I have ditched every set of friends I ever had, from every possible place I have made them. I ghosted them on socials, on numbers, and online friends as well. It just felt like more of an “investment” to me, and less of a “benefit.” I couldn’t see myself living my whole life catering to them- presents for holidays (money out of pocket) and etc.

Due to this, I looked for “one best friend.” Never happened. Tried to find a “soul mate” best friend and that was also not matching up to my fantasies. 🙆‍♀️😂 I’m definitely content with spending most of my time living for myself, cherishing family, enjoying conversations with ANYONE (keeps me open-minded), and keeping one eye open 👁 for “affectionate” companionship. Lol

Its not always the greatest, but I do feel a lot better not being tied up to engagements or having to just “communicate” why I can’t go to those, etc.

Every group of friends I “left” I made sure to leave them with other friends, so they didn’t feel vulnerable/ lonely/ rejected. They’re better off and so am I.

Do I enjoy it? I think there’s plenty of moments when I do.

I have associates/acquaintances which is all i need... Temporary socialization... I like to spend most days doing my own thing but at least once a week being around others. people just drain me so quickly. Both mentally and physically. I just need occasional entertainment and support but anything more than that is overkill. When people ask to be friends then i honestly start to distance myself because they expect too much. They wanna talk all the time and hang out all the time. Like why we gotta label it.

I wish I had friends but I've been stabbed in the back a lot.
I was naive and got used a lot.
When some people got boyfriends with money or better prospects very quickly they started to push me away.
It's rubbish really especially when I was there.
Now I spend many days and weeks alone with just my dog for a period of time I thought I was going nuts.
But it's made me stronger I guess. There are times when I catch myself talking out loud and I have to correct the behaviour.
But that's the extent of my "madness" as I take antidepressants.

I am dating a guy who really by his back story I should run a mile from but for whatever reason he's the only thing that's been good and consistent in my life. He's a good guy and trying to change his ways.
I'm desperately hoping that he doesn't let me down.

I’ll be a whole person first. I don’t need anyone else to be whole or complete. If we’re on the same level then we’ll see. I have just a few of those. They’re quality men with whom I’d trust my own family. Those are the only kinds of people I’d let into my life.

Some friends are great to have around and others not so much. It's a mixed bag, as most people are different and diverse mentally speaking. The friends that I'd love to hang out are the ones that basically understand me through and through and are typically ones I have a history with.

I have about 5 friends and I don’t talk to any of them regularly. We have that type of relationships where we can ghost each other for weeks and then pick right back up. I like it this way🤷🏽‍♀️

I like keeping my inner circle small. I had the chance to be well liked/popular it was very overwhelming and draining it was also hard to find time for myself so I could recharge my batteries

Friends are important, cheer you up and help you think outside the box. Advice from friends can be wrong but can also save you money and much heartache. Example, don't buy that car.. look at these instead.
