Has this ever happened to you?

I saw this dog on the side of the road near my house doing its dog business. But it was kind of a dangerous place for it to be. I figured it belonged to someone nearby but no one was around or had their doors open so I see if it will be friendly. It eventually comes over and I pick it up. That's when I noticed the size of her teets. She was producing milk and I just got even more worried. So I start knocking on doors and produce a lost ad on our counties site. This dog was thin and so I fed and watered her. The 2 vets in town were closed so I couldn't see if she was chipped. So I make a bed for her in my room which she uses but something was off. By now she'd been with me a couple of hours. I decided if this was my dog I'd be looking for it. So I started walking toward where I found her. She must've caught the scent because I was a block away and she starts squirming in my arms. I let her down and she bolted off. I tried to keep up and did for awhile but after her second bolt she was gone. She knew where she was. All I could do is go back and get in the car to see if she made it clear of danger where I found her. I sure hope she made it home. I do think she made it back to her babies with a full belly.

Too many times, and most likely it will happen more.

Growing up in the middle of no where farming. Then when people decide they are done with their animals they seem to think its okay to drop em off at my place. :/

However, at least here those fur babies or which ever is brought by will have a home with someone who they can know won't do the same thing to em, because they are home now.

Any chance you can contact someone to find her and her puppies? I think she's a stray but has her puppies nearby who need care too.

I thought maybe she was dumped but she didn't take me back to her babies. And what kind of human being would dump a pregnant mother?

I don't think she would as she knows humans are bad people. She would die to protect her babies.
It is possible they dumped the puppies there with her or sold them for money.

Sadly, some people are evil and have no love or respect for animals.
I would happily through those people into a burning house with no way out... but that's just me 💁🏼‍♀️

i don't really live in a dumping type of area. i'm really hoping and thinking i overreacted when i saw a baby alone and no one there to protect it
