Is having too many male friends bad?

If a woman keeps a lot of guys around, these are called orbiters in most cases. She is keeping them around because she sees value in what they can potentially do for her.

The emphasis is on her. She is generally not going to put the same energy into each guy, as they do her. It allows her to get benefits of protection, ability and resources without having to focus on any one guy.

And this is actually normal, even if the woman is in a relationship. She has a biological urge to keep guys around Incase her mate dies or dissappears. Some women will do a lot to keep these guys around including but not limited to playful flirting, developing deep emotional-only relationships and sometimes sexual to keep a guy around, but not full-time. But the lionshare of the emphasis and benefit is on her, not the guys.

And when you get down to it, a lot of these guys hang around to be there Incase she needs him. Some want to slip right in there should she become single. The best movie this reminds me of is Something about Mary. All the guys in that movie played Mary like a life-long friend, but nearly ulterior motive.

And deep down, women know what's up. They know her guy friends would do her in a heartbeat if allowed.

Why? Just because society assume having someone of the opposite sex as a friend implies they secretly like you or want to sleep with you, you're gay/lesbian, or you're too insecure to have friends of the same sex? Because that's silly...

The majority of my friends are guys and I prefer it that way. I just seem to get along better with guys than women- why? I've had worse experience with female friends than male friends. That's not to say all females are bad, and all guy friends are great either... I'm speaking for myself.

But if you have a close, trusted set of friends that just happen to be guys and you're happy? Awesome! Don't worry about what others think. Be glad you have good friends, regardless of gender, that care about you.

Not really... It kind of looks bad to other people but guy friends tend to jump for you where as girl friends won't hahaha
Like I came back to town I asked one of my old bff's if she wanted to go for coffee she never messaged me back for weeks. So I asked one of my guy friends who is more my friends friend than mine if he wanted to get high and he showed up the next day with the weed and the bong lol mind you he has always been really nice to me since we met at 14 lol

Nope why should it be? Man and woman friendships do exist!

They do when you're young, but the older you get, the more you realize that this is not really so, unless the friendship has a reason not to be potentially sexual.
