Woah. You don't. It's okay not to find someone cute or pretty. You don't have to say they're cute or pretty just because others say it, but when/if you don't have anything good to say, just don't say anything at all. Why would you want to tell her you find her kid ugly? What good it will do? That's hurtful thing to say. So, just be respectful of someone's feelings. Keep it to yourself.

You can say pretty much say anything you want, but I can't imagine a respectful way to say someone's kid is ugly. What would be the point? Do you win a prize for your "honesty"? Does it make you feel better having hurt the feelings of the kid's parents? Do you just like to be argumentative and disagree with parents, who think their kid is the cutest? What possible reason would you have to say something that nasty? Other than of course, being a mean person
