No, it's not saying you're ugly at all, she just means that she has a particular type of guy she is interested in and you happen to not be him. I'm not sure if you know this, but some girls and myself included, have a mental checklist of what we are looking for and if we don't find him we use this line and it hasn't got to do with looks, but more to do with character and preference.

It depends on what her type is and what she means by it. She could mean you are not her type in terms of looks or it could mean she just is not attracted to your type in terms of personality. Not really. I've used that line before. I simply had nothing in common with the guy, he couldn't hold my interest or he wasn't my type. As in his lifestyle and choices weren't my type.
Some girls may use it to say that they don't find you physically attractive. It doesn't always mean that though.

I don't know, I think women really like confidence in a man. And if you're not confident, I think faking confidence is OK until eventually you start to feel it. If you feel ugly it affects your confidence and it's the lack of confidence women pick up on. But then again women do like looks, but perhaps trying to dress better or see how else you can improve your appearance might help - e. g. better posture, some gym, healthy lifestyle and eating, these are things you can do something about.

I think the world doesn't really work that way :/ Do you judge women only on what's on the inside and never their looks? In any case, you aren't ugly... so this girl just didn't click with you... it looks to me like if u just lost a bit of weight and did a few other basic things for your appearance there's a good looking guy in you waiting to get out. I'm a guy so I can't really judge well but it looks to me like he has some potential to be quite good looking if he lost a bit of weight and maybe dressed a bit sharper and looked a little less sad and a bit more confident in the pic. Best way to lose some weight is to try low-carb (e. g. read Gary Taubes 'why we get fat', yeah, i'm repeating myself a lot on that) ... and having a more positive outlook on life also makes a person more attractive. He's definitely not ugly.
