Can you give some tips on how to become good parents? How to properly raise your kids?

Patience is a virtue and the biggest thing I had to learn being a parent is not to be a hypocrite. I remember trying smoking when I was a teen and sure enough my daughter came home and I could smell it on her, we sat down and had a heart to heart about it. Afterall, how could I possibly get angry with her when I tried it? The same thing goes for when she had been out and tried some alcohol. She actually thanked me one time for not freaking out on her and losing my temper.

I had certain freedoms when I was growing up allowing me to feel my way through life, so to limit your kids to the point they aren't living life can have serious impacts on their overall growth and who they become.

I think a good majority of the kids have anxiety these days bc their parents always kept a finger on them and never let them enjoy/experience life, not bc it was safer for the child, it was safer for the parent.

I agree. Parents should not scare their kids. Kids are soft, if you put pressure on them, they will commit suicide. Talk to them and support them.

Always be there for them.


Accept them for who they are.


Don’t ever hit them or shout at them there’s other ways to punish a child that doesn’t include beating them half to death.


Don’t fight with each other in front of the kids.


Don’t get divorced once you had them that can mess up a child.


Always provide for them clothing meals etc.


Never call them names or belittle them.


If you can’t afford a child then don’t have one.

I don’t really think there is a one way book definition on how to be a great parent.
I think it’s finding a balance on making sure they have their fundamental needs met and extra when possible.
Using positive language and affirmations to assure them that they’ll doing their best also.
As long as they thrive of their individuality, you’ll thrive on being their parent.

Always tell them you love them and care for them no matter what. Even if they can get on your nerves you still gotta do it. Might not like them all the time but you will always love them. That’s what my mom says to me and my dad just agrees but they aren’t wrong.

Children crave discipline. Give them a good structure. Always be the safe place for them. Put off giving them electronics as long as possible. Love them unconditionally but do not tolerate foolishness. Follow-up on any punishment you propose as a consequence of their bad behavior. Push them to try new things and allow them to do dangerous things carefully.

Most of it comes naturally. Especially the unconditional love. I think praise is very important from a young age. You want them to grow up with good self worth and have aspirations.

Well, not being a parent yet myself, I can only speak from how I was parented. I grew up in a pretty wealthy family. That did not mean anything though. I was expected to have a job and work when I was even younger. I had to have certain marks in school in order for them to pay for it.

Basically what I am saying is that no matter what, instill the values that you find important and will help them grow into adults that you can be proud of. There is no one right answer to this. I could list hundreds of things.

The thing is that you want them to come out better than yourself. Let them learn from their mistakes but also yours. Teach them, look out for their well-being and love them.
