As to birds and the bees, we started teaching our two year old son about consent before he could talk using tickling as a base for it. We put our index fingers together and if he broke them apart we tickle him for a while, then we re-affirmed his consent by putting our index fingers together again. We also quit tickling immediately if he told us to stop.

We also use correct terms for anatomy, and he knows "penis" "vulva" "breast" "nipple" etc already. We don't shame him for saying any of those words.

Yes. My 2 year old son said "boys have penises girls have vulvas" at daycare and our daycare provider's daughter (who's 10) had never heard the word vulva. My provider couldn't be too upset since he was just stating fact though!

Pick up "parenting for dummies". Not calling you a dummy but, I find those books useful, and I'm a college student
