I believe in spanking. Punishment is necessary in order to instill into chikdren right and wring. And spanking it what I personally consider a last resort, or for extreme offenses.

I like militaristic discipline but militaristic doesn't have to be so corporal. I don't think we have to spank the child so much, maybe make them do some push-ups, lean on them with our knee if they're excelling to add some resistance, make them run laps, clean our house, dishes, car. But at the end of the day we want them to be proud doing it. I blow a while and they should be eager to get in line. I don't think spanking does that so well. It instills fear or resentment instead of pride.

Kids need discipline from time to time. They are smart and they listen. Be the parent that the child needs to learn and grown. Then no need for hitting.
I have “hit” my daughters little hand once to let her know it’s dangerous and that can hurt. She never did again. Always explain your reasons.
Patience, love, communicate…

I think there are better methods than physically beating on a child.


If it gets to the point where you need to lay a hand on a child, it’s already gotten out of your control and you need to either make some serious changes or seek professional help.

My dad stopped spanking me after he found out it turned me on, i kept getting into to trouble just to get spanked then I'd go to my room and masturbate.
