What do you do with people that don’t respect you?

Situational. I usually follow this order:

1. Avoid them if we are not very close. acquaintance at a business meeting, friend of a friend or a distant relative etc. No point to start a confrontation, you are not gonna change their heart and mind with an argument.

2. For people I have to deal with (Coworker, friends) I would talk to them in private first. Private talks actually have a chance of resolving your differences. Once you go public, it'll just be a spectacle. If private talk doesn't work, you can go find a 3rd party to mediate.

3. If your partner or someone really close to you maliciously disrepect you, then you really need to reconsider your relationship with them.

I disrespect the shit out of them. Usually by antagonizing them or embarrassing them. I won't go out of my way to do it either which actually segways me into the best part of how I treat disrespectful people, I frustrate them to a point where messing with or disrespecting me becomes counterproductive to their mental health.

Depends. First I communicate. If they continue and are aware of what they are doing (narcissists) you gotta give them silent treatment act like you wouldn't give a f If they died infront of you. But If its something they dont understand or forgot then I remind them.

I think there’s a difference between respecting someone and treating someone with respect.

I don’t care if people respect me. As long as they don’t disrespect. I’d just confront them 💁🏾‍♀️

I know this probably sounds ridiculous, but if I sense that the woman I'm dating/serving doesn't respect me, she'll instantly have me in the palm of her hand from then on. Seriously.

Who cares? Especially if it's someone who's respect isn't worth anything because of things such as lack of character, horrible individual, etc.

Just on a side note though it's important to remember that respect is earned and it goes both ways.

I really don't have that many people that don't respect me, I tend to keep my nose clean, work away at things and try to help as many people as I can along the way.

1. They will throw you under the bus if that means saving themselves. So they are UNTRUSTWORTHY.

2. They will most probably only root for your failure, so they are UNRELIABLE.

3. Any interactions with them are pointless, so you can't learn LIFE LESSONS.

4. The only thing you can do with them is to IGNORE them or LEAVE them.

I think you might mean disrespect you which is different to don't respect you. Depends on the circumstance. Mostly walk away after a cutting remark. There is little value in starting a fight.
