Do children deserve apologies and explanations from their parents?

Yes, they do.

Apologies are deserved when someone has been wronged -- regardless of age or relationships.

Explanations are useful: they teach. When kids understand, they then have the ability to learn and grow and change and maybe do things differently the next time.

None of that means that the parents only have to do what the kids want or that the parent answers to the child -- it just means the parent is mature and that the child is both human and receives the same courtesy as others.

They should have essentially the same rights as you do.
Try to imagine what you would have wanted in their position.
Understand their point of view, and explain yours with a age appropriate language to the best of your ability.

If you validate the feelings of your children, your children will validate and appreciate the feelings of others when your children become adults. An example I will give is when a 6 year old draws a picture, the picture looks ugly cause it was drawn by a child, but if you praise him and tell him it’s beautiful, he will continue to improve and might become an architect in his 30s.

Yes, I truly believe this. They're still growing up.

In order to learn and grow to become a healthy individual, children need to be given explanations and apologies by their parents. Because when they get explanations and apologies, they can comprehend the situation and understand why their parent is apologising to them.

Apologies if they made a mistake, absolutely. It’s setting an example for them to take responsibility for their actions.

explanations if there’s time. That way they learn WHY they should do what they’re told. Sometimes there’s no time and they just need to obey.

In cases of abuse and neglect, definitely. However, it is very unlikely that the people who are abusive and neglectful would ever apologize because those people tend to be narcissistic and always think themselves as being right.

If the parents did something wrong like lying, forgetting about something or fucked something up, then again they should apologize. Not apologizing just makes them look like assholes.

If the parents have done something wrong, they should apologize. Or. . . you can teach your children to never apologize for anything, even when they are at fault, but I don't think that helps them later in life.

If you treat your small child as if they more important than they think they are or treat them at your level then they won't respect you at all and talk back with an attitude.
