Would You Accept Bad Behaviour from Your Children?

I was at a railway station at the weekend, and I was sat down on the platform waiting for the train.

Facing me was a guy with two children one approx 4 year old and the other about eight years old.

The 4 year old was throwing sweet wrappers on the floor, and the guy was unpreturbed diligently picking them up, and looking after the other child's sweet rubbish too.

The guy then started cleaning their shoes, when they're old enough to be able to clean their own shoes.

The children were obviously being spoilt rotten, perhaps if their Mum had been there it would have been a different story.

I don't have any children, and perhaps this is relatively a minor behaviour problem. I would prefer not to discipline my children, but if this is the result of being too lenient with them, the situation would have to change very quickly.

What is your opinion?

A. I wouldn't accept bad behaviour from my children.

B. It's part of growing up, I wouldn't discipline my children.

C. I am older and wiser I wouldn't have children.

Fortunately my son always had good good behavior and was well mannered and good natured. We used to joke around a lot when he was growing up, so we laughed 😅 a lot. I was a single mom since he was 6 months old.
But I do witness some very unacceptable behavior from children when I am in public.
For the life of me I cannot figure out why children SCREAM very loud and very long out of the clear blue for no reason.
We had the playground right near my apartment I lived in for 15-1/2 years. I would observe their behavior and I saw and heard them bust out screaming for no reason.
It was a playground and a time for the children to be outside and play. At least that's how it used to be. Now it's a place where they go to scream. I don't get it. My bedroom was right across from the playground and pretty close to my open bedroom windows, so it was very aggravating.
There were times when the bullies would pick on the real little kids, and, boy, that set me off! I would go out there and protect the child being bullied and would stop the bullies. The parents were no where to be found so basically I became playground monitor. 🙄
So, no, I don't accept bad behavior from any child!!

Children are more often than not just a reflection of the parents.

I'd tell them to pick it up or throw away the sweets. Since they're not ready. I'd clean their shoes but I'd be really annoying about it so they offer to do it themselves

Discipline is an important part of growing into a mature adult. What matters is the methods the parents use.

I have 3 kids, all grown now. When they were little and acted up, it was a learning experience for them... to not do that again.

I don't have kids. If I did I would expect better from an 8 year old 4 I think is still learning process and needs to be reminded from time to time.

Absolutely not! Tolerate terrorist behavior when they are children and they will grow up to be thugs and hooligans.

Bad behavior is part of growing up as well as setting boundaries and disciplining as a parent.

I'm quite tolerant, and I would definitely try to teach them the right way.

No. I'd explain their behaviour, and if it continued would (lovingly) punish them.
