How do people make friends?

I have a very hard time meeting people and making friends in general. I honestly can't even remember the last time I had a real friend.

How and where did you meet your friends? I just don't know what to do anymore. I feel really hopeless.

Being around other people day after day will force people to make friends. Its what happens at schools & on Jobs. People tend to make friends at young ages. Then as they grow older, people tend to focus less on friends & more on their partner & families.

That’s something you do in college high school or if you work a big office job and there’s 1000 men and women around when you’re in your early 20s after that it’s very difficult people don’t know you they have their guard up strangers walking around trying to introduce themselves. I would never introduced myself to anybody that I didn’t know.

Mostly online these days like on here for example, most of the others I have made in my life were at work, college, camp, church and school

Met some in University, some in High School and some when I was out kayaking, skiing, etc.

Activities seem to be the easiest way these days, that way you meet people who tend to be of similar mind and like similar things.

My only four friends I knew in high school, after that I was never interested in having friends, I only needed to have friends in high school because it was a jungle where people without friends were victims of bullying gangs.

Once you get out of college it is hard to make friends.

Basically high school, college, workplace, neighbours etc etc are where you can make good friends
