Nah. I mean, yes it's annoying when it feels impossible, but they're right. Confidence is good and necessary for healthy self-image.
Plus working on your insecurity will do both: lowering your insecurity and boosting your confidence.
Get some therapy. Work on that insecurity. Build yourself up in other areas.
You don't buy confidence at the store. You win it and build it for yourself, by yourself.
Like how? If I’m fat then I’m fat and no amount of feel good talk is going to change that
You're right, feel good talk won't change that.
Taking action will.
Saying "I'm fat and that's that" is just giving up and resigning yourself to self-loathing.
That's a self-destructive mindset.
Talk won't fix it, but action will. If you can't tackle it alone, find help. A trainer, a community of accountability, a friend to walk with, etc.
Therapy isn't "feel good talk". Not if you go to a good therapist. They'll challenge your limiting beliefs and help you to overcome them.
not annoying that.
