My friend keeps making fun of her nieces business and saying mean things about her like she’s selling herself. Should I be careful with this friend?

Her business is a weight loss program. Whether you agree with the business or not, as a fellow entrepreneur I can say with confidence that I know how difficult it is to build a business and you need support from loved ones. I don't know this friend is so rude when she talks about others and I worry she says things about me too.

I'd say with these types of people its best to prove them wrong. Sometimes the best reality check is simply to get humbled. When what they think won't work finds a way to make it work. If it was my friends niece and I saw them be hyper critical I'd take their niece under my wing and try and help them get their buisness going. And when my friend realizes to late I'd be the one laughing in the end when the niece is the one with the W's and a flourishing buisness. And I'd tell the niece that all I want in exchange for the consulting is a small minor discount. And give them the funding to go all the way if I had it. Nothing feels more rewarding than seeing something go all the way and make it work.

Your friend is an idiot. If her niece is doing online fitness programs, she needs to sell herself in order to give people a reason to buy into her fitness program.

I agree. And her business idea is pretty cool. It’s about energetic weight loss and how while you diet and exercise the spiritual part is really missing as part of the puzzle. She also competed at international gymnastics competitions. She’s impressive. But this friend shit talks about her from things like “she doesn’t have many girlfriends, so she need to talk to me” to “is she selling herself? I have no idea how she’s making any money to afford things. Her mom is making her sell things cuz she has no money”

And she told me to go to this online seminar for her and report back to her on how it went. She was making fun of her and was like “find out what my niece is up to 😂”

Is her niece's "business" a multi-level marketing scheme? They are all scams, selling inferior products at inflated prices to friends and relatives. They are just pyramid schemes dressed up.
