Her best friend is a bad influence?

So my girlfriend of seven months has two close family friends that are more like sisters. One of them I like, she is nice and a good friend. But the other seems to be a bad influence. She talks about women being superior to men and can't stop talking about hot guys. At my gf's party she talked about how HOT this guy is at my school and asked her what she thought. When my gf asked me to go get something the friend just laughed and said "yeah you tell him. Your a man you need to be working". We walked past a football practice and this huge guy was shirtless and she yelled "HOT GUY ALERT" and told my gf to check it out. I am more humanist and I shared my views on modern feminism and her friend just yelled "Sextist like all men huh?" Even though I was simply saying we should focus on equality for all, not just women.

I guess I wouldn't normally care, but it just seems like my gf doesn't care that it bothers me. She never really checks these guys out or anything, but she never stops her friend from making me uncomfortable. I personally tell my friends not to do stuff like that.

I think you should corner your girlfriend into making a choice between you or her friend. The other option is to avoid hanging out with her when she is with her friend, personally, I'd choose the former.

I think you're upset by your girlfriends inaction and her friend's behaviour, which is understandable. If you don't choose either option, then the next time you're beside that girl, don't do anything, don't react - ignore her. If your girlfriend asks you for a favour, ask her to do it herself or make an excuse that your legs are tired. This will show to her friend that she doesn't have power over you, but you may still privately do your girlfriend favours. The disadvantage of this option is that its indirectness leads to complications which could liken the odds that your relationship will go belly up.

Then again, your relationship is useless if your girlfriend disrespects you through inaction. So I would prefer the first option, which is essentially an ultimatum.

Thank you for the input. I never want to put her in the situation where she has to loose her closest friend, but I absolutely see your point

The first option doesn't force her to have that choice, it just forces her to choose between acting on your issue or not acting and then she's faced with the potential of you leaving her. This is a move that will hurt you emotionally, but at least in the future, word of mouth will get out that you're not the kind of guy who is easy to toy around with. A lot of women will respect you for that.

Yea it's disrespectful. My friends and I all know which "boyfriends" we should and shouldn't say stuff around, and if your friend is serious about a guy, or she has a genuinely good man then we'll obviously respect him and not do things like that in front of him.
Obviously your girl sees good looking boys sometimes, like just because you're in a relationship doesn't mean everybody else is suddenly ugly, it's just that you notice it and look away.
Anyway just because this girl has no respect for men, doesn't mean anything. I'm sure youhhave friends who treat girls bad or sleep around and stuff, doesn't mean you're going to follow them. Your girl should definitely tell her friend to hold it down around you though. Personally, my friends know not to act like that around me full stop if I'm single or not, it just doesn't give the right signals, and people see you with that girl and think you're like her.
