I told my mother that I was going to do the DNA ancestry and she told me that it wasn't going to be what I expect... I ignored her statement and proceeded with the process. Anyways, it comes back that I am 46% Middle Eastern. I thought something was wrong and paid to do the process again... Same results. I go back to ask my mother about it and she told me that it was true. My father was a middle eastern man that she met back home on the East Coast and she got pregnant. But because she was married- she told him that her husband couldn't know so she basically raised me to think that My Dad was my biological father when he isn't. I haven't told my Dad. And I actually found my biological father online. He was very nice and excited I had reached out. He said that he tried to look for me but couldn't find me. I found out that he also has 7 other kids after me. I am actually his first child.

I found out my mom's brother and sister were married to a sister and brother. While that's not shocking, I'm surprised that I didn't find out until I was around 40.
When I was a kid I suspected that the dad next door might have been my real father. He was always nicer to me and once gave me a kite. Since I have so many characteristics as my dad and brothers, I don't think it's true now but I use to.
Glad to hear that your bio dad was happy to hear from you.
