Why do people exclude their friends who don’t drink or smoke?

When I was a teenager, friends who did not drink or smoke were only excluded from those activities, not from hanging out in general.


If your friends are excluding you in general, those are not real friends.

Immature teenagers do this, a bit like with drugs. It is personal choice, i mean smoking is unhealthy and expensive for a start and some people won't drink or smoke for religious or even health reasons.

It seems a rotten thing to do, but either way do not give into peer pressure.

Those aren't friends if that happens. I have sober friends and I don't drink at every event. Plenty of friend groups aren't like yours.
