What is the right age for kids to attend summer camp?

Talk it over with the camp. If it's a decent place they are well prepared for this parent question. They'll ask you a lot about how your child is as an individual. Their experience will tell them if they are ready or not.

Whenever they’re old enough that the camp allows it. I imagine you’d feel more comfortable sending them if they already had some kind of sense of independence

day camp, for summer from age 8. sleep away not before 12 like boy scouts. not like harry potter
