It's a simple name, perhaps too simple. Kids like to call each other by their nickname, usually a shortened form of their name, and Ida/Eda doesn't shorten. Kids would probably create a nickname for her, and that may not be a nice one.
As a parent of 3, I learned early on, advice from others, that it's important to think how the child will carry their name when they get older.
I think it's a good name for an older person but for a younger person, it sounds a little too classic and I prefer a more modern name like Sarah or Tory.
it's okay, it sounds a bit dated, but who cares what others think honestly. it could be worse.

It's not bad, but it's a bit out of date... I don't think I've known anyone under 50 with that name.
Ida was mentioned as the name of a fictional distant galaxy in the TV series stargate sg1
Honestly it sounds like an old person’s name. But that’s up to you as well as the mother and father, not me or everyone else that is answering. Just my input.
In my country Ida means happiness, peace, knowledge. But that kinda old name, like 90s baby.
I did a little research on Google and learned that the name "eda" is Turkish. Oh dear, what a nightmare. I bet you didn't know that
I thought it's Germanic. Like in the Scandinavia, or some parts of Germany, it's being used
My paternal grandmother's name was Ida Bell Brooks; she was born in 1880. In short, Ida is the prototypical old broad's name.
It sounds old to me, but perhaps that is because I know an 80+ year old "Ida."
