Why people now a days are obsessed with childfree weddings?

I have noticed that they're is this trend going on lately about couples deciding childfree weddings. I really they can't just go to the court house and get married if they're going to be so picky about it. I will speak from my experience I had with a so called fake friend she was one of my best friends from back when we were in highschool. This past summer went to Texas the main point we traveled pay for airline tickets just so we would attend my now ex bestie wedding. I know even dough the invitation said No kids allowed considering my husband and I travel from outside of state and me of course thinking she was one of my best friends my husband and I decided to show up with our kids anyway I thought at first the bride would be kind and understanding. Now main you we are all grown adults in our early 30s the bride my ex friend threw a fit like as if she was a rebel teenager I guess some people never grow up kids will be kids. The bride is a grown 32 year old woman scream at my two years old son over nothing. And why would she have glass decorations in the first place. At my wedding I was smart I choose dollar tree flowers and made them on my own. Not this bridezilla she wanted glass. She made a big deal over my two year old jumping in her dress on accident. People are just rude now a days. We left and no longer friends anymore. At the end of the day friends will not care about you my husband and I travel far out of state just to see a shit show of a bridezilla making a scene yell at my son Once this woman becomes a mother she will understand. Fake friend this whole time. We are no longer friends.

Unfortunately, there are children who are not well behaved, parents who think it is cute for their children to run around screaming like monkeys with their butts on fire, and far too many opportunities for children to cause mischief at weddings. Your friend's invitation said, "No kids allowed" because you assumed that the rules that apply to everyone else don't apply to you because you and your children are special. You COULD have called your friend and asked but you decided not to do that. What happened at the wedding is something that you COULD have avoided, but you didn't. And why did your children NEED to attend this wedding. Your kids have an attention span of 30 seconds, will anxious and restless soon thereafter, and this wedding meant nothing to them.

People plan weddings for many months and spend thousands of dollars to create just the right atmosphere and children running around, screaming, and knocking things over is not part of their plan. "She made a big deal over my two year old jumping in her dress on accident." If your little angel jumps on her dress and tears it, whether it is an accident or done on purpose, it is still torn and too late to do anything to fix it. You were allowing your angel to run around like one of those monkeys, so the fault lies with you.

Your little darlings are sometimes pains in the ass to everyone else - not just at weddings - and you can either accept that reality or repeat this conflict on another date and in another place.

Just by reading your statement I can tell you don't have children I can see you are not a fan of kis. Kids bring joy into our lives. Just wait until you get married and have children of your own you will understand situations like this one. This crazy woman referred to my son a demon that is not ok.

She was angry because she told you not to bring them and you ignored her. And this happened on a day that, as joyous as it is, it is also very stressful. Liking children does not mean it's okay to bring them to a wedding when the invitation tells you to leace the kids at home. You are ignoring that simple truth. You could have left the kids with grandparents or a babysitter, or you could have declined the invitation, but you chose to do the one thing which would cause problems. . . and now you blame your friend instead of taking responsibility. Stop using your motherhood as an excuse to blame her; be a good example and take responsibility for what you did.

It doesn't matter if she was angry the bride was disrespectful to my child. It was not ok. We spend a lot of money we came from our of state just to see an angry bridezilla she should have been grateful. I guess not all friends are greatful. My husband and I paid thousands of dollars.

Look kids will be kids and it was rude of this Karen bride to not allowed the guest to include they're children. Child free wedding should not exist.

You are not living in the real world. There are people who don't want kids at their wedding and it's THEIR wedding, not yours. They have the right to make that decision and you have the right to not attend, but you DON'T have the right to ignore their instructions and take your kids anyway. You are the one who was rude, and YOU should apologize to your friend, but I'm sure you won't.

Don't get me wrong but your children shouldn't have been brought. While I understand your perspective, it was not right for her to behave in that manner, especially considering the effort you made by traveling a long distance to be there for her. It may have been more appropriate for her to make an exception given the circumstances.

If someone is having childfree weeding then that's their choice/ their wedding and you should've followed their rules if you were invited or attending out of courtesy obviously. That's their choice. End of the story.

Ok then the Karen bride should had hired a nanny for all her guests kids! It was the bride and groom obligation to hire a nanny if they wanted a child free wedding. You know but some toys and pay a lady to watch after the kids. They never given us a noticed months ahead of time. It's all her fault.

You said that they were having childfree weeding but you still take your children with you that's not right. Why you expecting them hired nanny when they are having childfree weeding? The guests should left their children at home hiring nanny.

I paid a lot of money just to see an ungrateful Karen bride. We came from our of state just to see an ungrateful Karen. Karen made us waste money on a stupid bridesmaid dress my husband suit that wasn't cheap oh and extra on $250 for my kids out. Oh and $2000 for airline tickets yeah my kids are human being to and they had every right to be in that wedding since we paid for all the expenses to a Karen bridezilla. We wasted money to see a shit show.

I can understand it if there is alcohol served at the wedding. People get drunk and wild at weddings and therefore might be inappropriate for kids to be there and see that.

That only happens in Catholics wedding. My husband and I pretty much paid just to see a Karen walk down the aisles. The Karen bridezilla made a whole scene at her own wedding it was a shit show.

I guess it’s because it’s their wedding and they can choose who they want to come? U had two options open to u, find someone to look after your child and travel without them, or tell her u had no childcare and couldn’t attend. The one thing you shouldn’t have done is ignored her wishes on her wedding day and expect her to finance child care coz u didn’t want to or couldn’t.

I can tell you are not yet a parent. Come back to me in the future when you had married and started a family. Over a decade ago the bridezilla considered me her best friend. I assume I we were still best friends I guess I was wrong after she discriminated my children.

She didn’t discriminate against your child, she said she didn’t want any child there, that is not specific to your child. Remember, u had the choice not to go to the wedding. U were the one who decided to ignore her wishes

Excuse me but she was a Karen bride and was disrespectful with my child and me. I paid over $2,000 for airline tickets my husband and I had to buy a Suit of her favorite color I had to waste money on a stupid bridesmaid dress total of $700 right there oh and $250 for my kids suits. Yet Karen bride mistreated our children and us. Ungrateful we came from our of state just to see a Karen bride.

It is her fault the bride made us waste money on outfits. The bridesmaid dress aren't cheap that was $380 on a stupid ugly dress. The bride even had horrible fashion taste on bridesmaid dresses.

People want the perfect wedding. And kids can cut into that. You were wrong to bring your kids because that is what they wanted. It is not your right to show up with your kids. But there is no thing that as perfect and I think spending money trying to out wedding everyone else is foolish. You are the A on this one.

I can understand it. It's a special day for the couple and children don't like to give up the spotlight to anyone. Also, it requires one to be careful of language, alcohol and can make reception seem more like a playdate than a celebration.
