It doesn't really do much about the grief or pain of the original action. It does give a whole lot of pleasure to get that motherfucker back though.

Like pissing on a tree to mark your territory. I wish the civilian world had that rule. You could assault someone if "any reasonable man would". So like if they called your wife a bitch, tried to get you fired or something like that and you choke them out while slamming their head into the sidewalk, not guilty.

In the civilian world that is assuredly guilty if you get caught. So always make sure to take out anyone with a camera first. a.22 or.45 with ratshot is a nice backup piece to have, lots of pain, hate, and discontent, but no fatalities, it'll also wreck those smartphones.

You need to plan very well for revenge, and be willing to follow through and have collateral damage. By nature, revenge is a premeditated crime, and judges/DAs really don't like those. You have a connection to the person because they fucked you over, so your chances of getting caught are high. Either drop them in a swamp, hit them like a car jacking, or make them too scared to ever say anything.(assuming they don't do drugs.)

    Retribution.

Such a horrible topic, but it does take place far too often.

Retribution may seem desirable when one feels injustice has been done unto them.

The carrying out of retribution, in the cases in which I've allowed myself to set forth in obtaining it, have always, thankfully, been stopped short by my conscience.

Judgement, vengeance and retribution are not mine to mete out.

There's a lot of context here that would change the answer but for smaller issues I think it can give a little satisfaction over grief.

Not saying rightly or wrongly. Just that it would.

When properly applied it can be motivating to reduce recidivism. Just blind rage doesn't do much though.

"Before you set off on a journey of revenge, dig two graves"

There is a WORLD of difference between vengeance and justice. Seek justice instead.

I FIRMLY believe in karma and I revel in shadenfreude. That's enough for me. Time and fate will take care of everything else and the universe is not entropic, it is a self-ordering place that always achieves balance in the end.

I think it depends on the situation. 9 times out of 10 I'd just recommend a person move on. But sometimes the hurt is so deep and sometimes malicious that you can't move on till you even the score. I've really only done this once in my life. Only a person who is really sick in my opinion takes pleasure in this. I get no charge out of inflicting retribution.

It may provide some relief but can just become a pissing match, so if it's something that should involve the cops, just let them deal with it.

I would retaliate only if that was necessary to prevent future evil acts.

It seems like it just makes things worse, honestly.
