Locker room nudity in front of friend (s)?

My buddy and I (guys in our 20's) go to the same gym together regularly to workout. Sometimes we use the locker room together to change and shower. We've been doing this long enough that we don't even think about it. Somehow this came up in conversation with some girls that are in our friend group. They were a little surprised that we have seen each other naked and are comfortable with it. Is this something that is normal between friends? Is it different for girls than for guys?

When I went to college the campus swimming pool banned the use of bathing suits. Everybody had to swim naked. I took my Senior Lifesaving course in the nude as well. We sat in folding stairs while , the instructor told us how to save lives. Then we went in the pool to practice. Looking back , it was pretty weird.

I’m surprised the girls are so surprised. I mean, I’d expect the girls run around naked all the time. Guys are a bit more conservative, but in the locker room? It’s not like we line up for stalls. They know we have showers in there too, right? 😂

I’m guessing there’s something about you and your friend that makes these girls suspect you’re homophobic and that’s why it surprised them to know you’re fine being naked in the same room as another naked man

I have no problem being nude in the locker room. That's the whole reason for the locker room. I'll walk to the showers nude, sauna nude, etc., whether or not I'm with friends or by myself.

Me and a buddy from work went to fitness training together for a year and like everybody else we used the group changing room, the group shower and the mixed sauna. No big deal.

I'm like you... I'm in locker rooms all the time ( in high school and now college on sports teams and at the gym. We all see each other naked all the time. I do not really think about it. We all have the same parts after all!!! ur thoughts?

I go to the sauna regularly. Everyone is naked there (everywhere after the lockerroom), both men and women. So I see nothing strange about it
