Yes... when they are young and still able to get tons of male attention and favors. It's all the benefits and few if any of the consequences and liabilities. And the authors of such articles know this, and they intentionally interview only young women and a few older "activist" types who have made their identity all about "being single and happy", because this all supports their narrative.
The truth is, though, if you interview a sizable number of women in their 40s, 50s, and 60s who are single and childless, they are the least happy and most medicated people on the planet - and there are plenty of studies that have shown this. Fully 25% of women in their 40s are on powerful anti-depression medications - and it's MUCH higher for single, childless women than for those with children.
These women are often upper-middle class and financially successful, and live luxury or near-luxury lifestyles, and many will initially tell you how happy they are, in their expensive apartment and being able to travel the world, but it doesn't take many more questions before the truth comes pouring out about how lonely they are, how jealous they are of their siblings or friends who have families, and so on. That's not to say that there aren't any exceptions - a small few really ARE happier being childless - but the vast majority who are single and childless in their 40s, 50s, and 60s are desperately sad and lonely, and often regret their choices. But they don't want to admit that publicly, because it's not politically correct to say so, and if they DO say so, they know they're going to lose friends and colleagues and maybe even family because they aren't standing by the left's narrative.
My generation - Gen X - is the first generation to have a sizable - though still fairly small - percentage of such women. There are vastly more millennial women who are single and childless, and due to the demographic problems and the financial problems that's going to bring, their lives are going to be far worse trying to survive the second half of their lives alone. And there are going to be so many of them that the government will simply not be able to afford to pander to them - it's going to get really bad. Worst of all, men aren't going to be standing by to bail them out, because those women spent their whole lives ignoring, belittling, and disrespecting men.
I won't be around to see that, but it's going to be ugly. It's already ugly with just the Baby Boomer generation, who only had very small numbers of such women, and it's worse with the Gen Xers who are just starting to really suffer as they are in their 50s and have no families. It's going to be a full blown epidemic with millennials.
Science is observation.
1, Not only do ladies get a MONTHLY reminder to make a baby in contrast to men,
2, ALSO they commonly feel anxiety when they see another lady marry or when the "biological clock is ticking"... they feel anxiety no baby is interrupted sleep at night, so she can't fall asleep.
3, or feel anxiety they "haven't had a kid yet" and they aren't getting younger.
this is observed.
They are NOT happy nor happier.
But someone who wants americans to not have babies can hire someone to make a study and reach the desired conclusions ... because researchers need money.
Nope.!! Ever heard of lonely old folks? That’s fact!
as well… I work with 99 % women… those not married/no kids… seems really stressed out from trying to get a guy to commit. (In their 30s, 40s.). One around 50 finally got a guy… an older guy however he won’t marry her.
I also know a few others once they turn around 40… they give up and admit… it’s too late.
so young gag girls can convince themselves to be happier single in their 29s, 30s…haven’t heard them once they turned 50/60 claiming to by hapoy single.
Probably happy yeah cuz they aren't risking getting postpartum depression and don't have a spouse to fight with so less stress overall. But they are missing out on their hearts being filled with love from a spouse and child. I guess it depends which one someone values. Personally I'd rather have the love from my family rather than being happy all the time
The hormones after birth are similar to post abortion depression... this is common after abortions.
But is the patient warned about this risk?
@strateguy632 no idea I've never had a abortion. That doesn't seem as bad tho cuz there is no baby around and the woman can focus on themselves

depends on their own goals in life.
Sure. They have less responsibilities and are not expected to care for others. Some people will claim it's an unfulfilling life if you don't have kids, but honestly that's the accusers hangup, not the single woman's. Less frustrations, the ability to do what you want with your life and not have to worry about a family being tagged along, not having to live your life around children. Yeah, I could see them being happier and living longer.
I doubt it.. probably for the time being when you still have lots of friends and can go out a lot but once you get old and friends start dropping like flies I doubt they will still feel happy all alone.
Trying to make a blanket statement like this is silly. Some people are happier married and some are miserable married. Some are happy with kids, some are better without them. All 4 combinations there are right for certain people depending on the individual's characteristics and situation.
Could just be flawed analysis:

everyone is different and has different goals in life, some women like having big families and lots of kids, and some like having good careers and staying single. i think a big part of it is that when a woman is unmarried and childless, she's more free to do whatever she wants, while if she has kids shell have to take care for them for at least 18 years if not more, not to mention how time consuming it is, how expensive and how draining it can be
These articles are psyops to scare people away from having kids, there is evidence that points to the contrary (single people being less happy) that you can easily look up.
Entirely depends on the person. Everyone is different any wants different things in life. I know people in bvoth situations who are very happy and others who aren't doing so well and wish things were different.
It is very possible.
No responsibilities, can come and go as she pleases.
I have been single by choice by choice many times and I enjoyed it.
I've also enjoyed being in a relationship as well.
I'm married and have two kids and am super happy with my life.
I love being both a wife and mother
I don't buy it. Are there individual women who're happier alone? Of course. But collectively? No. Humans don't work that way.
I meet a not-insignificant number of childless women in their 50s. They’re pretty lonely.
Yes, this is true. It's men who have problems with being on their own.
It is a lot of work to have and raise children and it helps to have a spouse.
Keep in mind you're asking this on a site where most women hate men and monogamy.
I'm not saying your question is pointless, but your results are definitely going to be skewed.😆
I think everybody is happier if they just follow their dreams and goals whatever they may be
Maybe when they're still young.. but I doubt it's still the same when they're older.
I really don't care. But why not ask them? I bet it's a fuckin lie. It is from the left.
No, but ONLY because they don't have a man to pay their bills.
That's up to an individual woman and what makes them happy in their personal lives.
lol, pure propaganda.
On average, they definitely are, yes.
