How to deal with a jealous friend?

My friend is insecure of her mexican background. She is obsessed with Nordic cultures and she knows I have Nordic heritage. On multiple occasions she has made it a point to say I only look very Irish or very English, (I'm mixed)

And that I don't look Scandinavian at all. The whole thing is stupid and superficial but it's become a bone of contention. I really don't like that she is trying to assert that she looks Swedish, when she isn't, while saying that I don't look Swedish at all, despite having ancestry there.

In my experience, it's possible to discuss when met with reason, not when met with obsession... Then what is the weight of this obsession in a friendship, if it's too much then maybe this friendship does not worth it? It's up to your assessment :)

There is no reasoning with her. I've told her objectively people often tell me I look foreign. I never cared much about it until she brought it up on numerous occasions, refusing to hear the fact that a lot of people disagree. I then asked her what does an Irish person look like? She said pale skin and you have that cute Irish nose. what?
It's obvious she is basing it off emotions and not logic, and that she is jealous of my Scandinavian heritage. I don't usually like saying so and so is jealous of me, as I sound like I'm boasting. It's just, I'm pretty convinced at this point

On top of that, no one is able to truly determine precisely origins based on a face.
It's a fun blind test to do :D Just pick random true faces from internet, take notes of their citizenship and put any friend to the test, citizenship hidden. They will name germans as italians, or swedish as polish and so on, but do the test, it's fun !

It makes sense because she has started dressing like me. And she always is dismissive when I say someone said I looked Scandinavian.

Personally I wouldn’t wanna continue that friendship. I’ve dealt with friends with Secret animosity and it just a nasty energy to be around.

I am considering it yes, it was secret until I realised she kept bringing it up and now it's just weird and makes me feel like she secretly envies my own connection to countries she idealises

This is funny as I've been working with goddess Freyja thank you for that sync. Well I've tried asking her what does an Irish person look like and she showed superficial understanding. She doesn't listen, and insists I only look a certain way. I feel her deep insecurities cause her to put me down in order to elevate herself
