I just got some of the worst news in my life, second only to my brother being terminally ill with Cancer.

Stopped at my neighborhood grocery, and a girl called me over, and told me some terrible news that brought me to tears.

One of the youngest, prettiest, sweet girls (I think she is 19 or 20) that I have know there over the last year and a half, was in a terrible motor cycle accident and from what I am told she may not survive.

She is in a coma, paralyzed on one side, has lost one kidney, and her right leg below the knee.

I am in shock, and just cannot believe what I was told. She lives at home, and I have no idea why her parents allowed her to buy a motor cycle?

Please tell me that none of you ride a fucking motor cycle?

I don't ride one. But as painful as that tragedy , it is still rare relative to total motorcycles.

Car crashes also injure people.

In one year in u. s. more than 30, 000 died, not only motorcycles, mostly in vans etc.

We don't stop driving those, do we?

Same for guns.

@strateguy632 I rode bicycle on PCH for years, and quit after seeing fatalities and injuries. No protection at all on a motor or a bicycle

I don't ride one, personally, but I know quite a few people that do, and I've known more than one person who was killed while riding one.

No, but an ex-boyfriend did, and riding on the back of that death trap was hell. Never again.

@sage2021 Sage, her first name is Emma, and she is the sweetest young person I have met in a long time... I was very protective of her and asked management to have someone escort her out of the store at night, for her protection. And now this 😢😢😢😢😢❤

I know exactly where that hospital is as my son was a patient there many years ago.
I am so sorry Bruce. Man, it must be very hard for you to go through this. Are you allowed to visit her? Probably not but maybe 🤔?

I used to race dirt bikes I own the street bike for probably about an hour maybe an hour and a half.

And within 3 minutes riding it I put it back in my driveway and that's where it sat until I sold it
because I had to be honest with myself and I'm just not disciplined enough to ride a street bike
I like to speed I like the way they handle but I don't like the cars. I wouldn't have lived very long if I would have kept it.

Dirt bikes and street bikes completely different things
