No. My dad was a tyrant and my mom was a jealous opportunity stealer. My mom has tried to kill me and sabotage my life multiple time and she alway tries to destroy my friendship buy telling lies about my personality and intelligence. My dad scream at me and criticizes me over 200 time a a day when I’m the nicest person you could possibly find. I think 90% of people would have chosen to jump off a bridge if they had to live in the abusive house that I was raised in. God told me in a dream that when they died, he would torment them in hell for one billion years for the disgusting way they treated me while they were alive.
That's bad well it turned out that you are different that's all that matters
no
I raised my children, didn't train them... I left their bodies and minds the freedom to develop in the most needed directions for them and didn't stress or force anything... I was there to listen and explain, not to force anything...
because children need love, attention and understanding, parents need to have an ability to switch perspective and see things from their kids perspective and then... to explain to them what they don't know, don't understand, are afraid of...
Wow that's good
You are an excellent Mom to your kids awesome.
GREAT child-rearing job, IslaTheWitch.
I wish I had a mum like that

nope!!! it will be the complete opposite. i still hold resentment and i don't want my child to even know what resentment feels like.
Maybe that's what the problem is with kids nowadays parents don't have time for them or make time for them to teach them so they train them
I would have to say I was pretty lucky my parents divorced when I was one
My mom remarried when I was too and from probably four years old to 10 years old I wasn't trained I was taught with a belt and if I did something my step dad that was wrong you didn't train me but he would beat me at 10 years old they got a divorce
From 1o to 12 years old my mom was a single parent raising three kids and it was all she could do to provide for us and then she got married again when I was 16 when I was 16 and a half I moved out because that man thought that he could teach me by putting his hands on me too well that wasn't going to happen.
So it's 16 and a half after I moved out where I lived where I moved to everything that I was taught it seemed like it was completely the opposite of the way it should have been so nobody trained me I taught myself at 16 because I panicked because I didn't want to be like my parents I started searching for my real dad once I found him I thought I was looking for myself but I found out who I didn't want to be and I don't mean that in a negative way
So when I got into a relationship and I had children I didn't care what it was going to take I was going to build the foundation under the legs never going to have confidence they're going to know what Love is kindness and how to read people to know if they need help I didn't have to train them I had to teach them and that's what I did I wanted them to be 100 times better than me and that's what happened if you're training a child you're not putting the right kind of time into them or words or passion or affection are teaching them how to treat other people especially when they get in a relationship and they have children... Because you can look at many parents today and they don't have schematics on how to do it they basically just do it the way their parents did it to them and that's just totally wrong
Do I want to make it hard for my children to be mentally healthy? No!
I am not going to beat them, take away their freedom, force my views on them, prevent them from having sex after they’ve become adults, force them to marry the guys/girls I like, not teach them basic menstrual hygiene, make fun of their superb British/American accent, yell at them almost on a daily basis, hate on my girl just because she’s a female and not a male, prevent my daughter from being feminine or enjoy girly things, start arguments and fights every day with my spouse, beat my spouse, refuse to take them on a holiday, force them to take up a career that neither ensures easy employment nor is it easy to get such an education…. the list goes on
but yeah I don’t want to copy that. I’m afraid my kids may be too indisciplined (kids are becoming increasingly rebellious), may do drugs, become teen parents, hit me, drink even when I don’t endorse it and much more. I’ll just tell them politely what is right and what is wrong but ultimately which path they choose after weighing the pros and cons is going to be their own decision.
The only thing that may make me disown them is if they become dangerous for me or do illegal activities including doing drugs otherwise I’ll accept even a homosexual child, a girl who wants to have sex before she’s an adult etc.
hey, i couldnt be more different in an open minded spiritual sense, but in practical teachings my mother taught me old skool baby skills, wrap them up tight, keep them warm to sleep, but after that no repetition, i tried to raise my two one boy one girl as these beings i bought forth through the portal are not mine, they are individuals and i am their mother their guardian, my children have taught me more valuable lessons than i could of ever imagined, I've realised its the way its meant to be,, im in awe at times just how clever they are, and awake! i love it... in two generations my family proves there is evolution happening on the planet and i love it xxx
No. My parents were both abusive and the impact is obvious. My eldest sister ended up in the mental ward and still under medication till today. My brother has low self-esteem. My second sister has temper issue and I am still struggling with OCD/instrusive thoughts. Sometimes I get panic attack too. I won’t want my kids to experience similar childhood.
Some folk shouldn't parent.
Whatever I know and they are interested in is what they'd have the opportunity to learn. I know a lot of things... Some I learned from my parents, others I learned on my own.
I understand you ok
Yes. Clean/finish the food on your plate. It sticks with you. Horse hamburger is fine with enough ketchup.
Hmmm ok
What training?
I rarely saw my parents.
Hmmm they traveled a lot then
Let's see um both of my parents are religious Catholic fanatics no thank you. Now that Trump is president I hope heakes a law and demands all Catholic Church to be shut down.
After my parents divorced I was only 11 years old at the time. My life was changed return around for the worst. I love my nanny so much the bitch of my mother decided to fired her something horrific happened to me when I was 11 with my mom's then boyfriend now stepdad to cover the whole shitty scene that disgusting demon from hell ofy mother made the choice to send me out of the country to a Catholic Boarding school until I was 15 my mom needed someone to watch after my younger siblings. It was hell on earth. I have PTSD when I see a Catholic Nun. Nuns would beet me and abuse me physically. Now the bitch of my mom wonders why I want nothing to do with her she's my sister's problem to deal with I don't care what people say. I am not obligated Nursing homes were invented for a reason. She wasn't there for me so I see no reason why I must be there for her. Your a good parent you will get a good child. You are a horrible parent you will get a horrible child. I personally believe children are human with feelings and parents must respect their choices and decisions our job is to help them and look after there best interest. Children are not our mini us they're not properties they're humans with feelings and rights. I was always told that I must be seen and not hear.
No, I would not want my children to experience the same childhood as I did.
Did you parents told you , you were to be seen and not heard? Our parents generation had weird ways. I do not believe that just because some shit head is 30 years older thet have the right to treat us like doormats. Absolutely not. I don't care if an idiot is over 30 years older than me if they're bitch they do not deserve respect.
No its a different world now. You can't train every generation the same because each face different challanges
but, all children of any generation require these 3 things from their parents: love, safety & security, discipline
Training: Absolutely Not... Whatever that's supposed to mean.
Raising: Most Definitely... The way that both my husband and I see fit.
I will be doing things very differently from my parents but certain things will be exactly the same. Like the wooden spoon and the time my dad yelled at me for crying too much after I fell off my bike
The three main things children require from parents are: love and emotional support, a sense of security and safety, and consistent guidance and discipline; essentially, this means providing for their basic needs, protecting them from harm, and fostering healthy emotional development through love and clear boundaries.
that title LMAO that's funny
and fuck no. i got no clue how i am even alive with how my childhood was lol
My then-wife and I raised our kids with the basics, the way we were raised, then we added modern technology.
I gave them a lot more attention than I got and I tried to give them everything they needed to succeed.
No. I take my partners thoughts into consideration. So it's more complicated, a blend. We raise them to be polite and respectful to everyone until given a reason otherwise, and stand up to bullies.
No because as an adult, I now have depression, social anxiety, and low self-esteem.
I would do some things the same and other things completely different
I'm a childless bachelor, and at 71 will always remain
Absolutely not. They hardly trained me at all.
you raise children... they're not dogs, lol
Fuck no
Ok that's fine
Nope. I think I would be a bit stricter.
MY MOM MAYBE MY DAD ABSOLUTELY NOT
Nope
