What to do when you're going out with your guy friend (just you two) to show him that you want nothing more than a friendship?

there's this guy that confessed to me and I said no and frienzoned him nicely and his friend is trying to get closer to me, he's a nice guy he's 19 too and we're getting closer , how should I show him I see him as a friend and nothing more

because I hate it when they confess and the friendship gets ruined

One thing you have to keep in mind is that it is damn near impossible for a purely platonic friendship with the opposite sex to work out. One (or both) of you would have to be unattractive, LGBT, or already taken for that sort of connection to have any sort of hope or longevity. Without those exceptions these guys are not your friends. Men don’t even really keep women as platonic friends anyway, in most cases they want something more “beneficial” at some point.
