or not necessarily? Your best friend for many years still is the best friend of your ex and now also best friend of your ex current boyfriend. I mean the ex and your best friend met each other when your ex was still your girlfriend, but then you broke up but the friendship remained between your best friend and your ex.

Well many people dont do that but I guess it is because you still get along with your ex otherwise you won't buy your ex and her current boyfriend a gift.
