It is too much to ask my son to give me a hand and keep me company?

I am always home alone... Daughter's off to college, comes back barely 1 time a month. Same for hubbie. Son is still home but I barely notice. He's always out with his friends and spends the nights out. I ask him to stay home at some nights a week, he gets angry. Don't know what to do anymore...

No offense whatsoever, but I think it’s more of your husbands job to keep you company, not your son. Like of course it’s totally fine to want to spend more time with him, but this sounds like it’s more about you feeling lonely just in general.

Then you have to tell your husband to take control of the boy, you have to be firm, otherwise he could walk all over you in the future.
