Does your PET like to TAKE things?

Not our dog

Our female dog likes to take slippers and socks. She doesn't hurt them, just takes them, plays with them for a few minutes, then puts them down.

I let her do it, wait until she's finished and then pick them up and put them back. My wife gets more upset, and often has to fight our dog to get her things back.

What about you?

Does your pet take things? How do you deal with it?

She's a Boston - kind of goes with the territory. Depends on what she is doing with them what they are. She no longer has an interest in my socks (unless I knot them up and tell her they are "toy"). She has switched to chewing the edges of her blankets. Yes, I know they are just those $1.98 fleece things they sell just before Christmas, but I'm getting tired of resewing the edges to keep them from raveling. So, she if going to have to go without them for a week- we'll see what happens.

My cat is Uncle Thunder (photo in my avatar.) He was living on the property when I moved in seven years ago. He agreed to stay and eat my food. I bring him in to my enclosed back porch every night, and when it is bad weather outside; otherwise, he runs free outside.

Despite the fact that he is a somewhat feral cat, he is extremely well mannered. He has never torn or clawed anything and he is a perfect "guest" when he is inside.

We had a dog once that used to get in the hamper and take my Mom panties she had worn that day.
He would hold them in his mouth and hop the fences and take them to our neighbors yard.
What he did with them after that is anyone's guess.🙄

Your dog isn't interested in the sock, it's interested in the runaround it's giving your wife. Remember the fastest animal on earth is a dog that hears the words, "what you got in your mouth?"

y Husky liked to TAKE the food from your plate whether you were there or not. Then sometimes he would take it from you as you were trying to put it in your mouth. He didn't take anything but food as long as he could reach it, it was fair game.

My cats like to hide my car keys and the TV remote so that I am home more and waiting on them more...

Yup the dog takes other dogs toys all the time
