Why did my cousin message me?

My cousin messaged me saying "glad you came today let me know when you're free" while we was sat next to each other. Other family was nearby at the time. I had a good conversation directly with him. Why did he say glad you came by message while we was next to each other?

No mistake. She was actually a prostitute. My mistake was in thinking she realized she was a prostitute. The butthurt screaming was deafening.
