That's a bummer... I assume hubby's working all day or away for business often?

I don't know if this is applicable to your situation but my wife was going through a similar situation when my daughter was born, I had to travel a lot for my job.

I just encouraged her to socialize with the neighbours more and luckily one of our neighbours was a wonderful older lady whom was totally in love with my daughter haha. I encouraged her to sign up for various parent-child friendly activities (Parent-Kid Yoga was one of then) where she made a number of good friends. Encouraged her to visit our parents more often. It seemed to help her quite a bit. Unsure if these suggestions are things you've considered?

I hope things get better though!

someone I know has friends, womens group and talks to husband and family. find real people to engage with in real life as much as possible.

Outlets might be churches, social groups with similar situations, etc..

Yes I've been there before. But at 2 years old is when things get better
They can wall and talk some kinda cool language and there personalities start showing

Even more but having adult chat you really do miss it .

Do you have any friends that have any kids .
You know. The ones that will start teach your kid bad habits.

But yes I was the mother and the father for while

You should join groups of other parents where you do activities with your kids and you get to socialize with grownups while you're doing it.

I don't know why anyone would have kids in this world today, there are 8 billion people on this planet, there are no meaningful career paths available anymore to all but to top level of people, which is very small by comparison to the Walmart masses. 100 years ago there were 2 billion. How many is enough?

May not be relevant but some advice if your ever looking to date. Don't put your kids first. That doesn't mean ignore them but dont put them before yourself and a significant other if you'd decide to go that route. Unless you end up being happy with having your kids fill that gap when they get older.

Try connecting with moms with small children in your area. That way, you can build friendships with other moms and your children can have play dates. :)

You should spend a family day with you husband and fam, go out all together and have a day for the fam, it might help

Have your friends come over and hang out or go to their house or something. You don't have to isolate yourself just because you have a kid.
