Why do people think that you can't blame your parents at certain age? Yes you can especially if you live with them from the day you are born to adult?

The stigma around not questioning ann authority figure including your mom or dad is definitely real. Parents have a certain right to tell you what to do. Some if not most are just trying their best to teach you what they think is right. Kids specifically can be very argumentative about things that are objectively wrong. Being an adult and questioning your parents obviously they won’t always be right but you should do it in the manner of telling anyone else they are wrong or that you think otherwise, by explaining your point and not being so aggressive with your point. No one likes to be wrong and some parents won’t change there view so it’s better to just leave it sometimes.

@EchoD At 22, you response is really insightful and mature. I wish I had your point of view when I was 22. Supposedly, adults will Never give their children the wrong guidance, or advice, but we, KNOW that is not always the case. My parents were so very wrong on many decisions they made regarding, child rearing and giving direction to their children. That said, at some point we all should know from experience, what is 'right' and 'wrong', and make those determinations on our own.

You can blame your parents for a lot of things, and many things may truly be their fault, but once you're an adult and living out on your own you can't blame them going onwards. They may have failed you before but at a point you're the only one able to fail yourself going forward.

what if someone has a mom like gypsy rose and they never kill their mom and her mom continues to manipulate her until she die of old age? What if your mom breaks your legs etc
