Is it fair that my girl besties buy their own lunch?

I am currently unemployed and studying to get a job. I'm on the pension and my money only stretches so far. I told them that I will supply the movies, drinks, snacks and dessert, I'll buy all of that myself, but we all have to buy our own lunch (pizza); or split the cost if we're sharing.

I'm just finishing paying off Christmas gift afterpay debt, so I don't think I can afford pizzas as well as everything else we're having amongst my TAFE trips, lunches, money for my parents and other occasions out with my other friends.

In Germany everybody is able to bring anything. A salad or a dessert or whatever. Why don't you ask if your bestie can bring anything (one)? So not all the costs stay by you. You have no work so it is more than understandable. Best friends would ask - you don't have to ask!!!

Think about that.

And best friends would not want you to spend all this money, they would share the costs in bringing food they prepared instead of share costs of ordered pizza.
