As a child, were you ever afraid of a family member?

There was a time that I was afraid of my grandmother. She could go from happy and fun to going off on a tirade about something.

As a really small child, maybe my great-grandfather. He was a World War 1 veteran, from a generation that thought pinching a child’s cheek would be funny.

I had an uncle I didn't like seeing. He had alcohol problems and could get very unpleasant.

My Dad scared the shit out of me. He never hit me but his disapproval was a bad as any physical violence.
