My younger brother (mom's 4th and last child; the baby in the family) is like that. Our mother was the tough one in the house, our father rarely ever. Then she decided to go soft on my brother because he was the last child. She got tired of her usual old-school style and went total opposite with him.
My brother never got bullied at school either. He never even got in a fight either. He never got hit in his life by anymore, not even our mother. He was spared of all that. It's me that needs therapy for the way mom treated me and getting bullied at all. We had it worse than him.
Yet, I just found out my brother has been on his 2nd session with my same psychologist and he still complains about trivial things. What? What is he got to be complaining about? He has no idea what's like to truly have traumas? He complains about the couple times mom compared him to others and told him to improve on things. That's a whole lot less than what we went through. He had it all handed to him with a gold spoon and he's still ungrateful, still whining, what?
Honestly, are there people like him, that are still complaining even when they never had it tough in life, never experienced getting bullied and never even got hit by anyone?

I feel like the people with the softest lives are the ones who complain the most, honestly.
It really makes no sense. Here I am dealing with real, past traumas while my brother has none. Supposedly one should be grateful and feel lucky to have a soft life. He should be thanking his lucky stars our mom spared him from putting the fear of God on him.
I once heard someone explain it like this:
The hardest thing you've ever experienced is the hardest thing you've ever experienced. If the hardest thing you've ever experienced is a fender bender, then having that fender bender happen will feel like World War 3.
Just because he’s never been through any trauma that you know of doesn’t mean that there aren’t problems in his head. There’s plenty of soft mental cases, and plenty of people who have no idea how to handle adversity or life in general
Everyone can benefit from therapy
Yeah they can even though my brother doesn't have any actual trauma nor deep issues at all. I wish I would've been treated like him. He has the best life ever.
He can still benefit from therapy. Maybe it’ll help him be a better person.
