Would it be cruel to skip walking my mom’s friend’s dog today?

My mom house and pet sits for her friend a lot. They have a pit bull who goes on walks everyday and she loves it. I walk the dog often just because my mom doesn't feel like it. She works though and im not working right now. She asked me if I was gonna be able to go and walk the dog today. I said yes. Well, like I said the dog gets walked everyday. Would it be cruel not to walk her today? She's probably expecting it and will have a lot of pint up energy if I dont

Saying yes to your mom is like making a promise. If you don't walk that dog, you break that promise and the trust she placed in you to accomplish something you said you would.

When trust is lost, it is difficult to regain it again, mainly with immediate family members.

Furthermore, it is cruel to the animal because that dog has probably built a habit of going for a walk at given times. Take this need away and this may be detrimental to the dog that will not be able to take care of its needs and may possibly impact on him/her having to do his business elsewhere, possibly in the house.

I mean, he's able to go to the bathroom because he stays outside during the day.
