I felt exactly the same way when I was pregnant with my son. I was extremely upset for months thinking of hypothetical things having a son would possibly mean (i. e. high car insurance premium, forgetting my birthday, forsaking his family for his future wife). I did not cope well, and can you believe some self righteous, arrogant relatives actually shamed me for it? That is quite an unproductive thing to do, so I will not do the same to you.

My advice to you for the time being is just to concentrate on having a healthy pregnancy, take prenatal vitamins, keep up with your prenatal care and try to avoid becoming sick. A baby boy is very attached and loving toward his mother when he is small. If you try again for another child, perhaps consider going to one of those specialty IVF clinics to guarantee a girl.
