Why modesty is sexy (in my opinion)

First of all, I am not saying by any means that women shouldn’t wear revealing clothing if they want to. It’s their body so it’s their choice. However, as a guy, I find that women that are modest with confidence can actually be pretty attractive. Don’t get me wrong I still find revealing sexy, but here's my opinion on why sexy isn’t always about showing loads of skin.

Her smile and face

Covering up more and showing less skin, can draw more attention to her face. Let’s be honest, who doesn’t love her gorgeous eyes and smile? They’re some of the best features about her.

It can say something interesting about her character

Not all girls are the same and not all guys are the same. We all find different kinds of people attractive. Anyway, I feel that women who are confidently modest are more introverted but still confident and sure of themselves, which generally I find very attractive as I’m a very introverted and shy guy myself.

Consider what she isn’t showing

Less revealing just means there is more beauty to imagine about. She is also adding an element of mystery to herself which can just make you want her more. Finally, just think that she is saving the revelation of that mystery for the bedroom.

It shows she doesn’t feel the need to live up to Instagram standards

I firmly believe that we shouldn’t completely compare ourselves to everything and person we see on social media as we can sometimes only be seeing half of the story. Modesty with confidence just shows that she doesn’t think any less of herself if she doesn’t live up to the supermodels of social media.

Modesty still has lots of variety

Modesty definitely doesn’t mean that you can’t make a fashion statement. There’s anything from a sexy one-piece swimsuit for the summer to a pencil skirt work outfit for the autumn and winter. There’s gorgeous floral patterns or simple plain. Defiantly loads of choice to suit your style and personality.

Sexy is about confidence

Being attractive isn’t all about the looks and physical traits. There are definitely many different ways to be sexy, and a big element in all of these is confidence in your style. I would rather see a confident modest woman than an insecure woman in revealing clothing.

Very nice mytake. I did a question about this a couple months ago, with much of the same views and reasons you stated here. The clothes aren't what make you sexy anyway. It's you that make the clothes look sexy. A truly sexy person could look sexy wearing a potato sack. And it's not always just overly revealing clothes. It's wearing clothes with the proper fit for your body type. There's a big difference between "fitted" clothing and too tight/skin tight clothing. I don't know why people wear their clothes so tight and think it looks attractive, when sometimes it can make your figure look worse than what it actually is. Again, great job 👍 so agree 👍😊

It’s definitely not my sense of style. My personality is really dramatic, bold, & often times just weird. My personal style is very eclectic... I really only dress “modest” when I’m taking care of business. Like I have to go to court or a job interview. Other than that, I’m the “if you got it flaunt it!” type gal. I appreciate that your opinion is stated respectfully though. I wish more people expressed their thoughts & opinions like this. Rather than telling everyone what they should & shouldn’t do. That’s no one’s business! If you’re not my mama or my boss? It’s like just stfu y’know. 😂👌🏻

This is how I usually dress if a bit more bold & colorful. But always modest. I've too much self-respect to dress like a street walking tramp (aka prostitute-wanna-be).

But such style certainly doesn't lack in attraction from men. In fact, most of the men, when I was single, were higher-end individuals. By this I mean they were good decent guys anyone would be proud to show off to their parents or even affluent and/or rich.

If you compare my style to a colleague of mine a few years ago who has similar features & is of similar age the difference in trampish versus modest or stylish is pretty obvious. She attended an event in a "cocktail dress" that was too tight & too short and was widely ignored. I attended the same event in black stylish dress pants & a stylish multi-toned blouse that was so long it went past my hips and I got a lot of attention.

and then the hoards of agreeing men started swarming in. I haven't seen a single man disagree. We can't help where we look, if girls flaunt it, we will stare and be attracted, but that is involuntary. We don't respect that, and we don't find it truly sexy, just slutty.

Both revealing and modest are sexy, but if a girl does not feel the need to constantly wear tight clothes or show skin it shows she is not looking for attention and is confident in other ways. also the mystery when something is covered makes the imagination go wild. sexy is a state of mind, if you a person truly feels sexy, no matter what clothes they wear, they will look sexy

That's your perspective, and definitely dressing incredibly revealing can look more desperate and easy than alluring and sexy, but I think there's nothing wrong with showing a bit of flesh. Not too much, but enough. It's about balance.
