Because women are more easily offended. It's as simple as that. As men we tend to socialise differently. As someone once put it "women socialise by complimenting each other, but they don't mean it. Men socialise by insulting each other, but they don't mean it."
Most of us do socialise like this and we get used to it growing up. You notice the difference when you work in an all male place vs a mixed gender place. In a place with mixed genders everything has to be toned down in case women get offended. When there are no women around all bets are off.
Maybe a bit of an extreme example: I once worked in a factory, all men. A guy brought in some sweets and started passing them round. A fat guy and a guy with a few missing teeth took some. The guy with missing teeth said to the fat guy "should you be eating that you fat cunt?" and the fat guy said to him "no and neither should you, you toothless cunt". Can you imagine saying that to a woman? She'd start crying immediately to the manager to get you fired. She'd probably have the rest of the day off work. But between those guys that was just a bit of fun.
Once I got a bit chubby, and people just started calling me a fat cunt, a fat midget even. I just rubbed my belly and told them that it's "relaxed muscle". I've had girls go off at me for mentioning that they're tall - can you imagine how many short jokes I hear as a 5'4" guy? And she's going off because I said she's "quite tall"?
So I think it's just that. You often can't say anything to a woman about her body without her going into a meltdown. They can't handle it. Meanwhile, most guys don't give a shit, only the most sensitive.
If girls would rather lie to themselves that they're just as hot even if they're fat, let them lie to themselves. Encouraging men to better themselves isn't a bad thing at all.
It used to be that both caught a lot of flak for being overweight.
I believe that the feminazis successfully glorified chunky women so much that it's now more widely accepted, while men still compete with each other to be more "alpha."
I don't much care for encouraging unhealthy or obsessive lifestyles.
Us girls hear about our weight ALL the time. However, I've never really heard of guys being shamed for their weight. It almost seems to be accepted with men. Personally I am more attracted to the guy on the left. So not sure sorry
I've seen many girls get told they're overweight and should hit the gym/diet. But I'd agree more overweight girls are accepted by society than men, and that's due to double standards.
Tons of overweight women are told to loose wieght. Only recently has the fat acceptance movement become popular but it doesn't change that theyre still encouraged to loose.
This is only a phenomenon that occurred in the last 3 years... and apparently men have thicker skin (no pun intended)!!

That’s actually a really good question, because I’ve seen it myself. I think it’s more of a thing where girls are perceived as being more easily offended and hurt emotionally, and are also less likely to change that lifestyle, whereas guys are more likely to follow through.
Personally I don’t bullshit girls, I’ll tell people they’re fat if it comes up, and I’ve gotten yelled at for doing it, and while people say I should apologize, I don’t, because I’m not sorryZ
Actually, I've found that overweight men are much more accepted than overweight (or even slightly chubby) women.
