Women might be considered the prettier ones in their prime, but men would age better.
Why? Well how many middle-age or elderly women in the limelight (for example) would be considered heartthrobs to men/boys? Hardly any; they’re only famous but not drooled over! How many middle-aged/elderly men are considered heartthrobs to young women? Bruce Willis, Richard Gere, George Clooney, Tom Selleck... these guys wouldn’t pamper themselves the same way similar-aged women do & they still turn heads the world over. Not to mention the near-heart attacks people have over women getting grays as opposed to men
Some people win the lottery on looks and longevity of them but generally guys get old they look more distinguished they can look good into their 50' sometimes 60's and occasionally 70's. Women on the other hand their stock plummets after 40. Depending on who you ask some say women look the best in their early 20's i personally think their 30's
Also race plays a factor as well Asian and i think Black women keep their youthful appearance longer.
MEN! Women become infertile while men can have children for all of their adult life. We are made to find mates that we make children with, what is most fertile is the most attractive to men, so a dried up old woman is repulsive to the average male... unless they have been together most of their life. I mean, what guy wouldn't admit to rather having sex with a 20-year-old over a 50-year-old.
All women don't become infertile and men can become infertile too there are lots of men that are infertile rn you don't know what u are talking about. Ya probably a guy hiding as a girl.
@Coolgirl235 Just because someone disagrees with you doesn't make them "a guy hiding as a girl."
No duh but there are still a lot of them hiding as a girl. y'all just say the stupidest stuff.
Oh, I'm definitely a girl. I'm just more awake to feminist bullshit and can see the truth through the crap.
Has nothing to do with feminism. Proof that feminist haters are just stupid af.
Definitely women for a fact. Men start to wrinkle earlier and their veins start to show through their skin faster. Also those hairlines be pushed tf back.
why do you think most people here think otherwise?

They are either lying or they haven't seen that much people. Estrogen plays a big factor in the youthfulness of skin and in skin overall. www.hotzehwc.com/.../ dermcast.tv/.../ I'm kinda not surprised of the results on here. A lot of people on here don't know that much. Plus there are more guys on here than girls and a lot of them are pretending to be women. For real lol
Not my fault you age horribly. Enjoy that receding hairline.
Still have all my hair, thanks. I got a little gray around the temples, which is actually a real plus. Also, I still have my abs, which is nice.
My ass won't fall, my tits won't sag, and my thighs and ass will never have the consistency of a golf ball. Also, I'm not going to end up with those blueish purple spider veins on my legs. Furthermore, if I do develop "laugh lines" or "crow's feet" at a later date, no one really cares. Finally its unlikely I'll develop "turkey neck" (thanks "Adam's Apple).
Sorry kiddo, life's not fair...
Stay in shape, it will help.
That doesn't mean your hairline isn't receding you are obviously dumb and yea your hair probably is turning gray already. Smh. Looks like you weren't blessed with good genes. Women age better than men. Get over it future baldy.
Grey hair looks nice on men. Not on women.
It looks nice to you. Not everyone else.
Last three girls I told my age to couldn't believe it. They thought they were being generous when they shaved a few years off when they guessed, only to find out I was much older. by the way my profile says I'm 58... just chose a round number birth year... I'm not that old lol.

I think men and women naturally age equally bad or good, but it may be more individual where some men and women age worse than others since lifestyle and genetic plays a role too. Why it may appear for some than women ages worse than men are mostly because of expectations and lifestyle.
When it comes to the Western beauty standards it's more expected of women to look young than men like how it's more ideal for a man to be tall than a woman, so women looking their age may be considered more "old" than men looking their age. Another factor that may play in is that tanning is more common among women than men, at least in my country, and that men are encouraged to participate in sport more frequently than women. In addition men tends to choose jobs that require physical labor like lifting etc. that makes men get more muscle and stay slimmer.
In my country there aren't any differences at all. Almost everyone looks equally bad when they're old. Most people gets saggy skin, gray hair, thinner hair, fat and bigger noses and ears regardless of gender. The previous generations often looks 70 when they're just 58 years old. I've even met a person who looks like 62 in her 40s and a guy looking 40 in his 20s. It's a long time ago I've met these people, so much has changed since that time. I think my generation would stay younger looking for a longer time because of better technology and healthiness awareness. Boys my age often looks 16 when they're older than that, but 15 years old boys in grandmother's time looked 20.
I've seen more noticeable differences when it comes to "races". Africans, Asians and some other dark skinned groups tends to have less wrinkles than white people because of they've more pigmentation protecting them from the sun rays. East-Asians from China, Japan and Korea may appear light-skinned, but because of their melanin type, they've some of the same protection as other darker skinned people. White people doesn't only get more wrinkled, but they also tends to gain weight and lose more hair than other groups.
I'm talking from my own experience. My country have taken in a lot of immigrants from Somalia, Pakistan, Iraq etc., but also Thailand and Vietnam. So it's easy to see the differences between the immigrants and whites. Wealthy whites even ages worse than some dark skinned who've lived harsher lives.
In Japan youth is valued in women also. It is not just western
Men's skin is thicker, they end up aging the best. That's the case in every culture, with East Asian guys standing out. They still look 25 on the age of 40. If I'm not mistaken, it is because east Asian guys have a thicker skin caused by a certain unique gene.
Women who produce a lot of melanin varying from light tan to dark skin tend to age on average also better than those who produce less to no melanin. Melanin slows down the process by protecting the skin. The older women from my ethnical background look like 10~20 years younger than their actual age and we are just naturally tan.
Guys: I think when questions like these are presented girls love to forget what attracts them to a guy to begin with.
You say that guys age worse, but that's your ego talking. You know that you will all curb a guy if his personality and internal game face suck.
Another thing: Who spends more time in the gym? guys or girls? There is only ONE answer to this question, and if you think it's girls then you have mental problems.
Finally: Look at the Rock, and look at any female in her 40s without butt, lip or ass implants? The rock does steroids, but he also does 2 hours+ in the gym every day.
Pretty sure men do. No offense ladies, but i look at a 50-year-old dude, who is still pretty hot, and then i look at a 50-year-old ladies, who look so much older. for some reason, women just age less gracefully (i. e. get wrinkles, gain weight, etc. Yikes. I only have 10-15 years tops,) then again, my mother is 50, and she looks 40. I guess it depends on genetics a little bit as well.
Gender not explain who is better, the work you done define who is better and it's depend at smartness of any individual no matter he or she.. In life struggles who win the race and be successful in social life or family life is better no matter it's men or women
Some men age better, some women age better. Overall I'd say men, but there're always exceptions
I agree.
I don't really know, but the way I see it, age doesn't make ANYONE look better, no matter who you are or how healthy your lifestyle is.
I'm going to say women, but only because I know of a really attractive 60 year old model, Yazemeenah Rossi, who doesn't really have a male equivalent.
But she's just an extreme, very lucky outlier. Almost no one ages as well as her, men or women.
Depends on a number of factors, but, although men usually have more exposure to the sun, there is a general expectation that women appear very youthful that usually isn't applied to men (yes, it is a clear double standard), as evidenced by the opinions of some guys here on GAG that a 30 year old woman (!) is "over the hill".
Its hard to say it depends on where you live , in America with the hot dry air both seem to age quickly but where the climate is cooler less sunlight they seem to age slower. But women tend to take care of there looks more than men so I would say women have the edge …….
why do you think most people here disagree with you?
so there are no facts, only opinions?
It depends. I’ve seen some women age nicely and horribly. Along with men as well. But I feel like healthier people in general age better for sure.
I'll focus on one particular facet for one specific reason. Genetics aside for the moment, the faces of men who shave daily do rather well because shaving, in essence, is giving them a daily exfoliation treatment. But then there is that genetic thingy - - - - - -
The answer lies in what men and women find attractive in the opposite sex. Men value physical beauty, youth and fertility, whereas women place much more value on wealth, status and maturity. Physical beauty, youth and fertility decline with age, whereas wealth, status and maturity tend to increase with age.
So in reality men and women do not age any differently, but men become more "attractive" to the opposite sex as they age whereas the opposite is true for women.
Good point!
Bad looking people age bad. Both guys and girls. Good looking guys age way better than good looking girls!
That is so wrong. A lot of people that were good looking when they were young sometimes look horrible when they get older.
@InTimoreDei That is true, and possible given the observation I made.
Is that even a question? Are you joking? Of course Men age better it's a universal truth. A man can look young even in their 50's. Women start to age at 35-40 years of age. Do a search on Google and you would know what I mean. Can't believe you even asked this question lol. No wonder why men marry women younger than them. Simple facts and logic.
Those who take care of themselves. I see so many posts that cherry-pick guys that look great over 50 and women who didn't age as well, but those always seem to ignore the opposites. I personally see lots of guys even in their 30's who look old and women over 50 who look damn good.
Sadly, I think men do. While we have tools available to help us looking young, men actually look better when they are older.
Generally, men. But sometimes it depends on how much you took care of your body when you were younger.
Its fact that men age better on average. But as individually, it depends on the person
I think it is heavily dependent on a variety of factors, some of which are under our control. Stuff like lifestyle and diet could play a major role in how well a person ages. That being said, I've seen men age more gracefully than women.
