So those people thinking that are brain washed by our society. Open your eyes look around and I'm sure you'll notice most women look good while most men don't regardless of age.

I definitely think men age better. For us women it's all about holding on to that beauty and youth as long as we can.

That's why I keep in shape, I don't drink alcohol, I don't smoke, I don't do drugs legal or otherwise, I eat healthy, I mostly stay out of the sun and wear sunscreen, I try not to wear too much make up, I drink plenty of water, I don't overdose on sugar and try to get plenty of sleep. I've also had my kids young which means I've no stretch marks. Hopefully this means I will still be attractive even when I'm 30& 40 if not as attractive as I am now. As women we naturally put on weight as we get older but if we eat right and exercise we can keep stay thinish around the waist and any fat will be distrubted in those places that are attractive to men boobs/butt/thighs.

Men might live more stress-free than women (or at least our parent's generation). But generally, women eat better and care for their skin more (moisturizing, sunscreen).

It all comes down to the individual when it's all said and done. Minimizing stress, being physically active, eating right, and caring for our skin will make anyone look younger than the average person.

I've seen both men and women age well in their 50s and 60s, and I've also seen the flip side.

I have male relatives in their early 60s with good skin, are lean (they eat well), and are physically active. One, in particular, is also pretty stylish and dyes his hair black. So many things you can do to make yourself look younger even after accounting for eating and exercising right. Dressing well, dying your hair, putting on makeup.

I've also had a coworker in her mid 50s who I thought was initially older. But it turns out that she is physically active, but she might not have the best skin (genetics?), and she goes out in the sun a lot. The sun WILL make you look older overtime and cause wrinkles.

Women age in other ways. Hair grays, skin sags, moreover women hit menopause way before men stop being able to physically reproduce. It depends on what traits you're trying basing your concept of aging on. I'm more focusing my argument on the idea that regardless of men or women's average aging, there's such a high level of variation in how people age within their gender groups that it probably doesn't have as much meaning to consider aging as a gendered process.

It depends on the definition of aging better. If you define it based on average life spans, women age better. If you define it based on sexual desirability and ability to produce children, then obviously men age better. Men in their 30s are only slightly less desirable then men in their twenties. I knew a 40+ guy who looked 24 and he said how you age depends on how you take care of yourself and not the number of candles on your birthday cake. I knew a very poor guy who never invested in nutritious meals and he looked 50 before his 22nd birthday. I knew a very athletic women who was 70 with no wrinkles and a job cleaning houses for a living while living with her kids and in laws and grand kids.

I don't think you can generalize. Everyone is different. There are so many factors that play into aging for an individual, from genetics to environment. Even how much they've been in teh sun can affect how they age.

I've seen some absolutely gorgeous women in their 60s that look 45, and I've seen some 45 year old women who look like they're 70. Same thing for men.

I think men do because beauty isn't as much of a thing for men but for women, they usually wear makeup and do many other things to hide their age. Men that age seem to have more of a mature face. Women that age also have a mature face but youth is more valued in women than men.

This depends more on the individual person than on their gender. On average I'd say age treats us men kindlier. Maybe it's because we are less pretty to start with.

However, it also depends on ethnicity I think. Some women of my light Northern European skin type are dazzling in youth, but their beauty tends to fade quickly. Women from the Mediterranean or from the Middle East often last longer on facial beauty.

It depends on a lot of factors and skin types. There is a lot of generalization going on. I have a guy friend who's 23 y/o and already has visible wrinkles on his forehead while I am almost 26 and still don't have any. I can also see more and more younger men getting big bellies because of drinking a lot of alcohol. Oily skin is the best, it ages slower.

It's a fact of human nature that the things that make women valueable to men are most abundant in women before age 30.

And the things that make men most desireable to women are most abundent in men after age 30, and even age 40.
