Girls, What kind of jeans shorts would young women prefer to wear when given a choice? Midrise denim shorts or ultra short low rise denim shorts?

If u choose to wear ultra low rise short jeans shorts, would u wear them for outdoor activities (going to shopping malls, nightclubs, etc) other than going to beach? In my opinion they look like shorts you'd wear to beach just to cover your swimsuit bottoms. You pull the look off, it's just not appropriate for school or work in my opinion.
