Why do people hate Instagram models even if they are non-problematic?

It seems like people automatically hate on insta models. They don’t even have to be problematic or bitchy, people will still hate on them. Like all they do is post picks of their face or body like everyone else on instagram. They just get more attention because they’re prettier than average. But it’s not like they do anything negative, so why all the unnecessary hate?

I honestly think that humans just automatically dislike others who are more physically attractive then them. But I still would like to know from others perspective why this is.

It's a mixed bag. Some justified, but mostly not. The people who have good reason really don't even hate instagram models themselves, but the title and the culture that allowed for it to happen. They think it's bad for society and female body image. That makes all the sense in the world.

Now for people who actually hate instagram models themselves. Mostly jealousy or disdain for the attention they get. For a lot of girls they just care about getting as much attention as possible. Even really great girls they want a lot of attention, even from men they aren't interested in. Instagram models are competition for male attention, because even if they're not there in person. They still have the eyes of men watching them and the girls who hate those models can't stand that, which is why many girls will post excessively on instagram/facebook with no plans of ever trying to get sponsorships or using it for any monetary gain.

Personally, I don't see a (serious) issue with instagram models. It's just a new iteration of something that always existed and the internet made it easier for them to live that life. I'm not gonna hate on a girl who is capitalizing on something so readily available to her. I do think it's unwise for a lot of those girls longterm to view that as a life and live shortsightedly. They should definitely prepare for their future in the meantime and a lot of them actually do. I've spoken with a handful of professional instagram models and a lot of them have bachelor's degrees in business, psychology or something else. Intelligent girls who invested money, to build a legit business that is funded initially through their sponsorships. Those are the girls who are set for life at the end of the day. That's a step up from the models of old who had to please the right people, do drugs to be in the cool clique and at the end of the day still have their future determined by other people. That's just not the case anymore.

When everything boils down the models are motivated by money. The photos rarely represent the models' personalities. It's all "beauty" so it's good for judging how the models fashion up. Cam whores are instagram models too. They do it for more recognition and support.

They're advertising to find business opportunities.

I don't hate them, I pity them. And they are not more attractive, they just put huge amount of effort to pick perfect clothing style & makeup with nice filters and poses. Any girl could look damn beautiful when putting up that much effort and money on perfect shots.
I'm not sure if they actually make some money like that, but I think they have chicken brains. Like, get a life and a real job. And stop collecting and manipulating men with your fake beauty, making normal girls feeling ugly and unwanted by their men cuz they watch your fake pics.

I think they’re mostly hated by professional models because instagram models are becoming more successful without having to do as much work as the professionals. And therefore professional models aren’t as successful these days because companies can just pay the ig ones less money for advertisements and still get pretty good sales because they already have quite the following and young demographic they can influence pretty heavily. While on the other hand pros require more money and not many of them hold as big a name or audience.

I think it’s motivated by insecurity. A girl would hate a model because she doesn’t look like that. And a guy would hate a model because he can’t have her, so they stick to calling them whores and bitches because if the opportunity came the girl wouldn’t want them and they know that. It’s driven by feeling and emotion of having something you can’t. But not all the time tho can be many other things too

I think people dislike them because Instagram is shallow so they come across as sellouts. Also most models use a huge amount of photoshop or facetune so they are also seen as fake. It’s also considered narcissistic to post selfies all the time. But I think it’s just another way to make money. Or just another way to advertise things.

Instagram is a place to boost your ego. And when it inflates to extreme highs, people can get the above traits easily. Boosting your ego isn't a bad thing, not at all. The website just encourages the extremes a little too hard. (Imagine your spouse one day in the future suddenly has pics of them surface and everyone has them. I'm talking borderline NSFW stuff. How do you think you'd feel? How do you think your spouse would feel?)

Maybe there is a small level of jealousy. For me not that they’re attractive or have makeup/photo shop skills it’s that they have a job that often pays very well and help with just about nothing.

Men collecting jerk material or brainwashing the next generation about unobtainable beauty standards and unrealistic lifestyles isn’t particularly healthy in my eyes. I understand flipping burgers doesn’t move society forward but I’m talking about actively harming it not being a net zero.

Add to that the level of fame that can get to the heads of these people and it makes for a very low opinion of them.

If you want to be famous/remembered, then make it for doing something great.

when an average girl looks at them she thinks i can not be like them, so she down grades herself and becomes insecure. when a guy looks at them, his standard of a girl friend becomes too high the one which an average girl can not achieve. making both guys and girls insecure and running after fake/unreal beauty standards.
