Definitely, people use filters and airbrush their photos constantly. You always see extremely attractive celebrities who no normal girl can even compare to. I have thought about plastic surgery countless times but never made plans to get it done because I don’t want to be fake but I still wonder if it’s a good idea sometimes. It’s hard being pressured to be so beautiful to have people admire and like you. That’s why girls develop eating Disorders so often it because they want to be “beautiful” and it’s heart breaking. But I struggle with it to, I don’t have an eating disorder but thinking I can’t compare. Look at times where there were models like Marilyn Monroe, she was stunning but she looked like a realistic beauty. Her body type was beautiful and so was her face. She’s considered one of the most beautiful women in the world. She didn’t have photoshop and filters she naturally was beautiful and she didn’t starve herself or wear 60lbs of makeup either.
Well considering that based upon a study, 80% of men were viewed as "below average" by women, I'd say you have it backwards. Meanwhile men watch porn and the porn stars are "average", quite literally (brunettes on average, C cup on average, and rated as average in looks) and they seem quite fine with it. Women lie about men being shallow in order to justify their own shallowness, thats all this is (you don't have men refusing to date a girl based upon her breast size or height, but you will have women who refuse to date a guy based upon one, or the lack of one, feature or their height). This is just you trying to rationalize your own behavior.

I understand that you don’t see them as the pinnacle of beauty ( everyone have different tastes) but let’s be honest, you hardly see women with a level of beauty like them in real life, and if you felt that you had a chance to get a girlfriend who look like them then you would probably immediately forget about your preferences. I personal don’t consider Shawn Mendez to be THE HOTTEST MAN on earth, but if a guy like him approached me then I hardly think I will feel like I « settled » 😂

Some people think it somehow makes them special when they decide to go agaisnt common sense and describe a good looking person as ungly or strong person as weak. No. Social media has nothing to do with it. This has been screwed up since the ancient times. We just escalated it and made it worse. And now modern tech allowed us to peruse unhealthy lifestyles, ideologies, belief systems and unreachable unrealistic expectations for ourselves. People don't know how to really love themselves anymore, and the higher-ups decide what is considered beautiful and what isn't. It's a reflection of not just society but ourselves.
Yes!!! Super models, actors and actresses have change peoples way of dressing and how everyone should look like. Media has so much that it only allows the world to see the perfect person, when we as the normal ones are just us being the best we can be in looks and what we wear. I see some but not all in society getting influenced by the way famouse people present themselves, which its all acting the part they are supposed to do, so yes it has effected our beauty standards.

Anyway, no, social media simply ramped up the issues we have with beauty (as in, that every one of us wants to be beautiful, inherently) that we already had there. Yes I think social media kinda messed up with beauty standards. Nowadays all we see are girls full of makeup and big lips and there's actually nothing wrong with that. What is wrong is when certain men expect us to look like that too and when some girls feel so inferior just because they don't look like these people on social media and aspire to be like them.

That's aesthetic beauty, it isn't the same as biological attraction. Some people make a nice picture, but that doesn't make them physically attractive in real life. Pheromones enhance the beauty that is already there. Not everyone agrees on aesthetic beauty either, symmetry is a plus, but different people like different qualities. Pheromonal attraction is even more specific, it narrows to select genetically compatible individuals.
Miranda is average Adrian lima isn't that attractive Megan Fox got some surgery or something she don't look right. she used to be hot in transformers 1
I never paid much attention to Victoria Secret models but I thought Megan Fox looked pretty attractive in Transformers movies I have seen of her.
Attraction is subjective though. I am one of those men who does not find Barbara Palvin physically attractive although it seems like a lot of people on this website do. I keep seeing people post her pictures on here and say she is the prettiest VS model. I do not understand the hype.
